“Great value, no nonsense hotel”

This is the second Premier Inn we've stayed in this year and I have to say we are impressed with this chain. At Clacton the rooms are a good size, well appointed for the price, clean and comfortable. We slept very well and it was very quiet. The associated eating house/pub (The Bowling Green) served a good range of food and drink and the staff were very friendly. The all you can eat breakfast was excellent, our only dislike was the barbecued bacon which tasted as though it had been cooked with steaks. Otherwise it was brilliant and sets you up for the day.

I stayed at the Inn on Thursday 12th June with 9 other ladies for a birthday get together

The staff were extra friendly and could not do enough for us

Myself in particular had to leave early Friday morning to get to Colchester by train and because the receptionist who was lovely could not get me a taxi, she asked one of the young men who were on the staff to give me a lift. That is certainly service for you.

we had a great meal deal with wine included and could not fault the food, especially for the price that we paid, which included breakfast as well

Well done Weeley staff, would look forward to staying with you again

By the way the waitress in the restaurant was excellent as well

I stayed here last week while I was working in this area and I enjoyed my stay. It had a little pond at the back which had cute little baby ducks on it which the staff feed everyday. I enjoyed my breakfasts every morning. The room was tendered to every day.

Quick check in, lady at front desk was lovely. Came with my partner and our children, provided flowers for her birthday as requested, she was pleased! The room was lovely, the bed was so comfortable, the kids enjoyed their beds too! Shower was great, not bothered about tv or Wifi, I wasn't there for that. Really quiet giving the hotel location is at a busy junction, but our room was at the back, maybe different at the front. Breakfast was brilliant, the pub next door was great. Will stay here again when next in the area. Thank you for a pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Take a room at the back as we did, it was quiet where we stayed, that helped by the fact we were at...

Check-in was quick and we found our rooms easily - they were right at the back of the hotel, so overlooking the car-park and fields beyond. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, a good size bed and bathroom, everything you would expect from a Premier Inn. The restaurant next door served very tasty soup in the evening, and breakfast the next morning was good - but not fantastic. The hot water urns were quite small and seemed to need refilling quite often - and the hot water I used to make my tea was not hot, but warm. But this was a minor detail, and overall I thought was good value for money and would certainly stay there again. Watch out for the ducks - they seem to like nestling down in the drive-way, and don't seem at all bothered by all the cars about, so you need to drive carefully to avoid them.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room near the back, and at least on the first floor so that you are not too near t...

Staff didn't care about the smell of cannabis coming from a room down the hall.

The pub next door where the breakfast was served smelt of raw sewage.

Staff didn't care what we had to say. Just wanted to brush it under the carpet and not try to deal with the issues.
