Description: The Blue Sari wishes to offer you a taste of real Indian cooking and more. Our owner chef Russell has trained in Bangladesh, Paris and Cyprus as well as London. Married to an English wife, he also understands exactly what our standards are in this country. His passion for cooking and new tastes reach out to embrace not only the traditional but the new and modern combination of east meets west. His love of fresh ingredients and locally sourced food will be noticeable in Russell's delicious and inventive dishes.

We were a party of four and three of us had the Sunday Buffet which had a good selection of food. The fourth member had steak which was cooked well and very tasty. One of the waiters took time to explain which dishes would be worth a try for someone who had never had Indian food. This and previous visits to the restaurant have never been disappointing. The staff are always very pleasant and the owners take time to speak to the guests. We consider this restaurant to be the best in the Clacton area for Indian food.

a friend and i visited the blue sari last night (thursday 6th june 2013), we have both eaten in dozens of indian restaurants in england, this was my first visit here, the menu was very varied and contained some dishes neither of us had seen before, the staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, the owner took time to come and talk to us about the dishes, and food in general, he also said some of the dishes we had not seen was because they were his own creation, in all i would not hesitate in recommending this restaurant to anyone, i live local to the blue sari and will be a regular customer from now on, their food is the best i have had in this area and the portion sizes are good too, paul

This was our second meal at the Blue Sari, both times treated by our very good friends. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated, the staff are friendly and efficient and the food is good.
However, on both occasions it was half empty and as such lacked a little in atmosphere.

To fault the service and food here you must be a professional complainer. We visited here last week and having sampled many Indian restaurants up and down the Uk and worldwide this was so ar the best.

Food was beautifully presented to such a high standard, and tasted divine, service was better than we had received anywhere else (we have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants and the Blue Sari cert deserves one)

Would recommend the mixed starter and the nan bread so light and fluffy.

Would definitely visit again

My Wife and I have been coming to the restaurant for over the past 18 months. I myself have eaten nearly everything on the menu, experiencing all the different fresh spices and flavours. I have a few favorites but to many to list. My Wife loves and sticks to her Chicken Madras, Pilau rice, Sag paneer, Onion Bhajees and stuffed Paratha which I can fully recommend. Yesterday we visited with friends and have taken family in the past We had the Buffet for the 1st time, which was just cooked freshly and put out. Just wonderful, the chef Russel and his Wife Sandy have it just balanced out right and who always come to greet you after your meal to see if you enjoyed your eating experience with them. This goes along way, both truly nice people and their staff with lovely furnishings and comfortable seating. You won't be dissapointed unless you don't like Indian cusine at it's finest. We were there for some 3 hours washing down the lovely food with pints of chilled Cobra Lager. I miight come across as bias, but I say it as it is and fully reccomend a visit. Any negative feedback should be deemed as malicous Thanks to Tripadvisor to leave our comments and reviews Junaid and Trish from Saint Oysth
