Just returned from this area, stayed in this establishment, for a budget hotel the standard of it was very good indeed, the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and very adequate. Obviously their are no expensive frills in the room but for the comparatively low cost of staying there it would be foolish to expect any, what is in the room is however sufficient.
We had a breakfast which again was of a very good standard, all in all the premises and the staff were a credit to the organisation and I would have no qualms in staying there again in the future.

We booked in here to break our journey, mainly because of the free parking, and were greeted by extremely friendly staff. Weren't sure if we were going to eat there but didn't feel pressurised and decided to give it a try. Restaurant staff were also friendly & efficient and we had a very pleasant meal. Good night's sleep with only occasional noise from lorries, followed by an extensive breakfast.Definitely value for money and will go out of our way to book at Premier Inn in future

All staff really focused on creating a great customer experience, very accommodating. Good quality food at breakfast & dinner. Not sure I'll visit Chelmsford again but if i were to do so then I'd be happy to stay here again.

Recently stayed with a few friends at this inn for a conference in Chelmsford. I will admit I was a little exited when I saw their money back garentee in the case of a bad nights sleep because I can find anything wrong with a nights sleep in any hotel, so i had a pleasing vision of walking away with my money back!!How wrong I was!!!! With their fully "you" controlled heating system in the room , the temperature was spot on to suit me all night! No sweating to death or shivering under mountains of blankets in this hotel!!! There was even a choice of pillow firmness!!! Amazing lol! The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the room ! The air was clean and dust free and not a spot of dirt or dust anywhere!!! I loved the hot water on tap for a huge hot bath and easily controlled shower temp was so much more enjoyable than in a lot f hotels where u have to battle with the water mixer that is either hot hot or freezing!!! The food was next to non and the staff were so polite!! It was also next to a main road but not a noise disturbed me all night! The blacked out overlapping curtains blocked out any head light bother !! To top it off the tea and coffee in the room was kenco and twinings!!the little details obviously mean so much to the hotel and it's staff and needless to say I handed the key back in the morn without even the slightest thought of attempting to say I hadn't slept well! Needless to say the good nights sleep showed in my step and on my face so it would of been pointless anyway :) they would never of believed me lol!! Pleasure stopping there!! X

The sleep at Premier Inn's are always brilliant! Comfy beds with lovely pillows! Our room was very spacious and cosy. It would have been good to have a larger range of hot refreshments in the room - i.e. a hot chocolate!
I recommend the restaurant completely, large portion sizes and for a good price. The breakfast is also to die for! Staff are very kind and attentive although the layout in the restaurant is quite dysfunctional as if the staff don't see you it takes a while for them to bring things over when they remember! Would definitely recommend, a good night for a sleep and food to wake you up in the morning for a big day! Would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Tip on heating, if you are heading out remember to put it on before you go out as it takes a little...

Stayed here at the end of February when we arrived at 8.30 in the evening the window was open, obviously left open since cleaning which meant that the reoom was very cold. No amount of adjusting the heating would make the thermostat stay above 18.5 which made for a very cold stay, we were glad we were only staying one night, particularly as the duvet didn't seem as thick as some of the other Premier Inns we have stayed at. Apart from that its the usual Premier Inn format, plenty of parking and excellent staff. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
