I stayed at De Rougemont for 2 nights on business and found it handy for my work. It is a nice quiet hotel with lovely grounds and my room on the ground floor was more than ample for my needs. Breakfast was tasty and I found all of the staff friendly and welcoming. A far cry from some of the impersonal corporate type hotels. Definately worth a return stay if I find myself in the local area again.

My Girlfriend and I stayed in a Luxury double room on a Friday night and had an evening meal and full English breakfast.
The room was stunning with a 4 poster bed, table and chairs, sofa, gorgeous antique furniture and a stunning bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Simply breath taking.
The bed was huge and we had a fantastic nights sleep when we eventually stopped watching the huge flat screen TV!. Free WiFi :-)
The views over the garden out of the full width of the room windows was amazing.
We had an A La Carte meal which again was faultless. The Scallops on a bed of Black Pudding are highly recommended.
The staff were very professional and very friendly.
After a lovely sleep and jacuzzi bath we had a full English Breakfast which was also very nice.
I will stay again and can highly recommend every aspect of the beautiful Manor.
Jon and Chloe.

We took my mum for a Mother's Day lunch, and yet again the beef was mouth watering and we were all full to the brim after our 3 courses.
The service was superb the singer was was great and the general atmosphere was friendly and attentive with many diners that seemed to be enjoying their shelves getting up on the dance floor.
At the end of the meal.

The restaurant seemed to be fully booked and the staff coped well on such a busy day.

We would most definatly be returning soon.

I've stopped here 4 times over last few months. First & second times absolutely first class. 3rd time i had to move rooms due to wet carpet caused by leak from room above. 4th time no heating, informed reception, asked for heater ( it did not arrive - not the plumber who was supposed to be onsite) 2nd night heat returned ( but not for college who had no hot water the next morning).

So a fabulous place, with a restaurant that serves food of the highest standard, sadly let down recently by poor maintenance.

Dear Buzby4,

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. Firstly its great to hear that you enjoy spending time here, and that you really appreciate the building, and all its lovely assets.

David Fuller our head chef, and his team really do take pride in every dish they serve, ensuring that everything is served to the highest standard. So it really is great to hear such wonderful feedback regarding the food, and other areas of the hotel.

Unfortunately around the time of your stay, our long term maintenance man who had been with us for over 30 years was taken seriously ill, although we did have other maintenance workers on site, its fair to say possibly we hadn't been meeting our usual high standards, however this issue has been addressed now!

We do hope you give us the opportunity to welcome you back to the Manor soon.

Kind Regards
Sam Banks
