Barnards farm is a private residence with grounds that open to the public throughout the summer. Only open on Thursdays throughout June, July and August. Occasional Sundays.

The extensive grounds are scattered with modern sculptures mostly commissioned for the farm. It is a delight to come Across a sculpture in a woodland clearing! The owner collects vintage cars and there are usually a few on display. The past year has seen the addition of a miniature railway which is popular with families. The railway is being extended to cover the entire park.

There is food available in the lovely barn. Extra toilets were added recently.

Disabled and people that can't walk a lot can ask for a golf buggy tour, for a donation. The proceeds of entry go to a charity and the staff are volunteers.

A lovely way to spend a few hours.

Nice friendly staff & quite a long ride too.
Many unusual sculptures to be seen from the journey, & the Belvedere is well worth the climb to the summit.

This railway, I think, is Britain's little secret. We heard about this place through a friend and i'm glad I did. It's set in lovely grounds with various sculptures which you can view from the coaches. The railway goes on for a while but no where near the full length yet. They have diesel and steam engines, we managed to get steam (engine called Isabel) going down and diesel coming up. The kids really enjoyed it and I will definitely be visiting again and see the progress of the railway. Highly recommended A*
