We stayed bank holiday monday for the easter package,D.B.B.we had a garden twin room very close to main part of hotel, very spacious, and cosy.check in very good, then we walked into Brentwood, only about a mile.our 3 course meal was delicious, and the service excellent in the Tudor restaurent.Breakfast was also good, with good quality ingredients,my poached eggs were cooked perfectly. We were very spoilt. Also with thorntons easter eggs.

Room Tip: All garden rooms overlook the beatiful peaceful garden.

We have had a small wedding reception at the Marygreen Manor Hotel and I must say that it could not have been more perfect. We had welcome drinks in their beautiful garden with a private dining experience in the Samuel Pepys room afterwards and everything was truly wonderful. The service was amazing and we didn't miss a thing, the food was delicious and also children were catered for without any problem. We stayed a night in one of their beautiful suites and enjoyed their breakfast the next day. We will definitely return to this amazing location to celebrate our anniversaries to come. Our stay here was definitely a beautiful memory and I can highly recommend this hotel.

I took my husband for the Celebration Tea as a surprise for his 65th birthday in April. This tea is a twist on usual afternoon teas, where finger sandwiches are swapped for a selection of luxury canapés, scones for a variety of mini desserts and the cakes & pastries are replaced with petit fours, all served with a glass of Prosecco, tea and coffee. Fantastic value for money, very helpful staff and wonderful surroundings. This 4* 16th century hotel is full of character, with very pretty and well maintained gardens. Highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Took my mum and sister here for Afternoon tea... The sandwiches, cakes and tea was lovely. The service was very poor... We were not spoken to throughout sitting down for 3 hours, we had to ask for more tea. Every place I have been for afternoon tea has had sandwich refills and we were not asked. Nor was this an option. The price was not bad for what we had. But yet again... No music on, we was stuck in the hotel part not the conservatory where everyone else was for their afternoon tea (I also booked this a good month in advance)

Thank you for your feed back. Whilst I am pleased you enjoyed you afternoon tea I am very sorry that our service levels appear to have fallen short on this occasion. Additional tea and sandwiches should be offered as a matter of course and it is unacceptable that this was not the case with your table.
We serve afternoon tea in our conservatory, lounge and restaurant. Whilst we can not guarantee a seating area we are more than happy to take requests for a particular area and always do our best to fulfil these.
I am sure you would benefit from a return visit when you would experience the service that we are famous for and I sincerely hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back to The Marygreen Manor Hotel in the near future.

Arrived for pre dinner drinks, we were warmly welcomed and bar service was impeccable. champagne cocktails were wonderful. Ordered from the comfort of our sofa and were escorted through for dinner. Amuse bouche fabulous, mains were super, 5 of us had nothing to complain about. puddings were sublime and again all of us enjoyed them. The reason for the 4 and not a 5 is that whilst the service in the restaurant was good it was not perfect, waiting for forgotten drink and for the wine to be poured. This was minor as we had a fab evening with great food and a very reasonable bill. This will certainly be one of out new favourite places.

My husband booked Henry VIII suite as a surprise party for my birthday. Beautiful room and everyone commented on the excellence of the food - all delicious and piping hot - not an easy task for 44 people. We stayed in the Lodge in a lovely room - very little noise which is surprising on such a busy road. Breakfast was very varied and set in a very elegant room - definitely a place to visit for a special occasion.
