“The talking dog!”
Reviewed May 8, 2012

Good food , good atmosphere, friendly service and alot of locals explaning, without asking them, things to you and starting to talk to us with good advice, about where to go how to get there etc. In the mean time they are taking beer and other fluids in like the'd ran out of water in town. But all in all a nice experience.

“Typical Wetherspoon's Pub”
Reviewed February 28, 2010

Right next to the station, visited on a Feb Saturday afternoon.

The place is looking a little tired and worn, but the prices ensure people keep using it. Some visitors are a little 'down on their luck, or at least look like they are'

I had three different Real Ales, all in good order. Our food was just 'Chicken Wraps' and chips. They were good value and just what we needed before setting off for the big match at Dagenham.

Most London Wetherspoons are begining to look a bit 'tatty' around the edges, this one is no different. Plenty of staff (unusual for a lot of this chains pubs) all of which were friendly and chatty.

“An appauling excuse for...”
Reviewed December 28, 2008

An appauling excuse for a pub. A dreadful old supermarket turned into an equally awful boozer. Attracts the worse sort of customers. Stay well clear.
