Service was very good and the food excellent. The ale they served was well kept (had the Harvey's) and not too pricey.

Thank Stuzza

I read the reviews so knew it would probably be pretty good but all of us said it was the best meal we could remember having in years. Just gorgeous. Very impressed. Never been here before being from London but as we have a relative nearby, we'll definitely be visiting again. I can't wait to try their Sunday roast next.

we have visited sedlscombe twice now and on both occasions we have had a good time . For the restaurant you need to book at weekends as they get quite busy. The food was really nice and the atmosphere was homely.

The welcome was warm and the pub attractive. But for us it was spoiled by the small matter of one of us ordering a pie which turned out to be a casserole with one of those pre-made, bought in, puff pastry lids. They're an abomination! There was a lont wait between our starters and our main courses.

since the new landlord has taken over the food has got better and better and the service great. the inn is old and you feel you have gone back in time when you enter but that is just the pub, there used to be peacocks strutting there stuff but now it is geese, five in total who wander willy nilly around the green and gardens, not in the pub of course.
My friend and I had lunch, and were really surprised at the length of the menu and the beautifully presented food, more to restaurant standards than an inn. We will go again and again. On the second occasion they were very full but asked us to wait while they prepared another room, this was done very quickly and it filled up in no time, you would not get that attention even in London. Well done and long may it continue.
