Simply Seafood is unique! The food is outstanding and imaginative.
Whilst not exactly cheap, I don't know of any other restaurant where you can get a whole lobster (I had it cooked three ways) for less than £20. The fish soup was completely made from fresh ingredients and had kind of the taste that I last had in Marseilles.
The garden is a riot of colour and has hidden statues and random pieces of art.
Thoroughly recommended.

Over the years we have visited this area as we have old relatives locally we visit, saw this on hotel inspector uk tv whilst we were living in france,i cant believe weve only just got to use it as we were staying in eastbourne and treated it like a little break, anyway we booked up here for last sat night,we arrived quite early but it wasnt a problem we had a few drinks at our table before dinner, the waiter is fantastic (he certainly knows his stuff) it just seems such a friendly family run place,i had the scallops in green thai curry soup"well its the best tasting thai soup ive had even better than the tom yum soup the thais do"this chef certainly deserves all the praise he gets, the flavours were fantastic! for mains i had lobster 3 ways, this is such a brilliant way of doing it no mess with shells etc its all done by the chef,it was delicious,my husbans had the seabass he said was lovely he did find the soy sauce too strong but thats just personall taste, nothing could really be faulted!! later we met claude(quite a character) he and his family seemed really friendly people,as we had a good chat with them, anyway if you havent been here GO we will deffinately come back when visiting the relatives again, keep up the good work everyone as this is by far the best restaurant weve been to for a while and we do wine & dine alot,so a big thankyou to chritine and her team, see you soon hopefully.

Wonderful "date night" meal on Saturday evening with great service and wonderfully fresh food with fantastic flavours. Enjoyed a lovely pre dinner drink in the garden and a quiet table at the front of the restaurant; nothing was too much trouble and although busy we felt thoroughly looked after. We only live 10 minutes away so will certainly be back and cannot believe we haven't been before!

We hadn't booked to go out for a meal but made a late decision to venture out. Googled all local restaurants and fancied a fish meal as we were near the sea. The restaurant was busy with a large party in the conservatory but we were made welcome and offered a table in the fairly small main restaurant. We both had calamari starter and I had delicious sea bass whilst my husband opted for the black pudding stuffed duck leg for his main. He chose this rather than sea food as he loves black pudding and it sounded so tempting. Both meals lived up to expectations. No room for dessert but they sounded delicious. Good value and courteous service. So pleased we have found this little gem as it is on our often travelled route. We will definitely return.

I have visited simply seafood on a number of occasions with friends. The fish dishes are nicely presented and fresh and I think mostly locally sourced. They have all been impressed and have re visited with friends and family. The lunchtime menu is extremely good value.
