“Reliable Premier Inns!”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Stayed one night here, as a break before heading into Brighton on Bank Holiday Monday. Paid £35 for the night.
Was the same as other premier inns, and it was recently refurbished with a nice big TV. The room did however smell slightly musty- so we had the windows opened for the evening.
Staff were friendly, at check in and check out.
Ate at the Brewers Fayre for dinner, which was ok. Would stay here again.

this premier inn is much better than (the one in brighton town center which is probably more for stag and hens). this hotel is about 7 miles from the pier and town center so not far away at all not only is it quieter here its cleaner we have a seven year old boy and six month old girl and they couldnt do enough for us anything we wanted they did .you have the restaraunt brewers inn attached to the hotel which is fantastic for adults and children as they have a big indoor play area for children which you dont even know is there as its cornered off they have tv all around the restaraunt so you can watch your children and know they are safe . the restaraunt and bar it very nice again the staff here make you feel welcome the food lovely for all make sure you book though as it fils up quickly, you also have a big sainsburys over the road and petrol station so you dont have to worry about driving around looking.

First time I'd ever been to Newhaven - perfectly nice place. Anyway, I stayed at the Premier Inn which was, as usual, great.

A nice, warm reception, followed by a quick and efficient check-in and I was in my room. I like the new style room keys which are just held over the lock. Much better than the magnetic strip things that always seem to fail for me. Must be my magnetic personality!

Lovely big TV, usual array of tea and coffee things and and a big comfy bed (now with different hardness pillows), mean I still haven't been able to claim my money back under their good night's sleep guarantee - damn you Premier Inn!

The bathroom was nice and clean with big, fluffy towels and a good supply of foamy soap and shower gel.

Thanks PI

This was our first stay in a Premier Inn and we found it pleasant and quiet.
I read comments on Trip Advisor that the hotel was not clearly signposted. But the Sainsbury’s Super store was easy to find.
I had booked 1 Disabled Room and a normal room.
Positive:
Nice clean and quiet hotel. Friendly staff.
Negative;
The disabled room did not have walk in shower but had a bath tub with lots of handles. I would have preferred the shower. (Travelodge has walk-in showers, but we did not get and booking)
The chair and bed was low as per their info. So it was not easy to get out of. I would have liked the normal high bed in this room

Room Tip: Our room was at the rear of the hotel and they were quiet.

Spotlessly clean room and bathroom with a shower over a full sized bath. Hot water was lovely and hot and did not run out.

Room must have been refurbished fairly recently as it didn’t have any of the usual wear and tear marks, scuffs or damage. Large flat screen TV on wall but with basic channels only. Usual tea and coffee making facilities as expected in Premier Inn.

The family room second bed really let us down though; it was so uncomfortable that it did not allow any sleep. We were told all about a ‘good night sleep guarantee’ on checking-in but when the lack of sleep was mentioned on checking-out the only comment from the disinterested receptionist was that she would note it.

The restaurant beside the hotel is a standard chain-pub which served the usual chain-pub food/drinks! Breakfast was greasy with under cooked eggs.

There is a large Sainsbury’s within easy walking distance and a small retail park with KFC, Pets At Home, B&Q and McDonald’s just a little further walk.

Room Tip: don't plan on using the second bed in the family room

Usual Premier Inn - comfortable bed, relatively basic but spacious, clean and excellent value for money. However, the 10 stars are awarded for customer service, not only with a smile but with genuine concern - my father developed acute knee pain, such that we were only able to stay one night of the two we had booked for, as we needed to get him home. Despite being a "paid in advance" booking, the manageress refunded, which was very much appreciated. We were overwhelmed by the concern and helpfulness of the staff - all with a smile.
The pub next door had good food, again basic, but good value for money, and again what fabulous service, again with lots of smiles
We would definitely recommend this Premier Inn and will definitely stay again when in the area
