Excellent.......Jenny and Paul Thank you both for such a wonderful break. From the moment of booking our stay with Jenny to actually meeting her she was just so lovely. Nothing was too much trouble in fact everything was made so easy. The cottage is perfect for a relaxing stay. The scenery, the stream, the log fire, our lovely walk to the water fall and our time with Mutley and Molley. We cannot fault this place. It is perfect and more..... The reviews are great and true but so much better. Don't change anything Jenny and Paul you have a real gem here just wish we could stay longer. We will be back. As soon as possible. Our best regards to you. Sharon and Nick (Hemel Hempstead). X

Set in the Ashdown Forest the Piggery has some breathtaking views and walks on its doorstep. As I had coffee in bed I watched deer saunter past the field behind me. We chose this place as we love the location, it has a wood burner fire and we visited the local pub last year too. We will be going back. The owners are very welcoming and took great care to ensure our stay was lovely as possible. The shower is very good and the kitchen has all the utensils will need. The log fire was very cozy and the bedroom was very comfortable. The decor is charming and of a high standard. Check out the Hatch Inn too for good food and hospitality (you may need to book).

“Fourth Stay and still as Magical as the First Time”
Reviewed August 29, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A stay at The Piggery is turning into a compulsory annual event for our family! This was our fourth visit with our toddler and there is not much else to say that I haven't already said. This time the sun shone for us every single day of our stay, not that that has ever made a difference to our wonderful experience of the place. However we were able to make full use of the decking by the very pretty stream, and it was the first time we were able to use the barbecue. Even after 3 prior visits there was a lot to see and do in the area and we still have plenty more places on our list to visit! We ate at several good pubs in the area but the convenience of having excellent cooking facilities at The Piggery meant we could have relaxing evening meals there too. That's the beauty of a place like this when travelling with a toddler. If staying for longer than a couple of days it's also very useful having a washing machine to sort out the accumulation of laundry. Mention once again must be made to the incredible hospitality offered by Jenny and Paul. These 2 amazing people make what is a pleasant stay into an experience that is very special. I think that's probably the secret to the success of this truly magical slice of heaven in the country.

We have just spent a wonderful weekend in this cottage. A perfect setting, very peaceful, right by Ashdown Forest.
In bed in the mornings you could hear the stream trickling past. We ate breakfast on the decking by the stream, idyllic. The cottage has everything you require if you wish to cook but there are some lovely nearby pubs and restaurants so no need to bother.
And of course Jenny and Paul, such generous hosts. Some good advice given on local places to visit. We were made to feel really welcome and will certainly visit again.

“Ideal for a quiet romantic break”

My wife and I stayed here for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We loved the property, which was behind the main house (Moss Cottage B&B)in a quiet and rural location , and was beautifully furnished in a quaint but contemporary rural style. A unique kind of space, being a converted outbuilding but with everything that two people could need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Jenny, made us very welcome and made sure that the kitchen was well stocked with breakfast items (in our case, vegetarian). The wifi worked, and there was a good DVD selection to choose from when we came back from our dinner at the pub up the road. The bed was comfortable and we had a good night's sleep. The location was great for exploring Ashdown Forest and we can recommend the walk just across the road up to Gill's Lap. We felt very comfortable and rested here and could have easily stayed longer. Excellent in all regards.

“Cosy rural home with lovely garden and great surroundings”
Reviewed June 17, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Had an excellent stay in this luxury catered cute holiday home with very friendly and helpful hosts which made us feel at home. From the house one walks directly into the forest, much wildlife is to be seen. Nice country pub with excellent food in short distance. Sitting in the beautiful garden by the stream is a real treat! For colder days/evenings nice wood stove can be used and there's a good collection of DVD's with flatscreen TV. WiFi reception for mobile devices was problematic inside the house, but with our laptop it was fine. Comfortable beds. All in all very recommendable.
