Very friendly, wonderful service and food. Set in a beautiful part of the country, with stunning views, Batemans, Charles Dickins House (NT) is just a short walk and well worth a visit. This olde world pub/restaurant /motel is under new management and is being refurbished, the friendly atmosphere and warm welcome is a joy

At last the chalets have been refurbished, they were beginning to look a little tired last time we stayed. New management for the pub are friendly enough- food up to standard, with a good menu choice & ample carvery reasonable price at £10.50 .
Only criticism was no mirror outside of shower room in chalet, also no soap for sink .
All said, we’re booked to stay again in July

The family who run this pub and motel are bending over backwards to make the motel and pub a fantastic place to stay.

The refurbishment of the rooms worked and are a million miles from the rooms they inherited when they took over the pub 6 months ago.

Rooms are clean and have a small reception area which great if you have a dog and have just come in from a walk.

Lovely big windows open up to an amazing view. Makes a fantastic waking up experience.

The Pub is friendly with very good food. It is being refurbished in a couple of weeks, I look forward to seeing that.

There were 13 of us for a family celebration. Food was excellent and service too.
We came back a further couple of times during our week's stay in Burwash and again meals were excellent. Curry night on Monday and fish and chips later in the week.

We had a family meal the food was lovely the service was brilliant and the new conservatory looks so different since being refurbished. It is a really family friendly pub. We then came back for live music in the evening which was brilliant. Highly recommend this pub
