“The beach is generally clean”
Reviewed September 5, 2012

The beach is clean if very difficult to walk on. There are no attractions and sitting on the beach is the only option other than walking along the shoreline at low tide.

“Local Beach”
Reviewed August 30, 2012

Always supping tea here. Watch the boats sailing, wait for low tide and go crabbing, walk to Eastbourne if you wish. Refreshments easily available. Town and Edgeryton Park 5 mins from beach.

“Beautiful Bexhill beach-land”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

Free and full of fascination - rocks and pools at low tide, shingle sofas at high tide. Sit and watch the Jack Vettriano scenes, play 'French Cricket' or Rounders with the kids on the sand, or dabble in the nook and cranny rock pools of My Lord's Rocks with the tide out. Join the sailing club and the Sunday racing or paddle about in a dingy or Kayak fishing for a mackerel when the tide's in.

“Clean pebbled beach”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Clean, nice prom some nice little shops, would like to see deck chairs for hire especially as a pebbled beach, like the idea of being able to hire beach huts though good idea.

“Pebble beach, great Promenade, fab park behind”
Reviewed August 21, 2012

Bexhill may have faded glory but there's plenty of family fun. Pebble beach with sand at low tide, NO DOGS so nice clean beach. There is some muddy sand in place so take your plastic beach shoes! Great rock pools so take a bucket and spade and a pot to collect shells. Hours of free fun. The promenade to the west of the De La Warr has been redeveloped into the trendy, stylish walk way. Interesting shelters and seating s mingled with sculpture come play area and lovely plants. The Sovereign Light Cafe is handy for coffees and ice creams, as is the DeLa Warr pavillion, with it's great cafe and Art Exhibitions. The Egerton Park behind the sea front has an AMAZING new play area, HUGE sand pit and super wooden climbing frame, and lots of swings, zip wire, and roundabouts. Toilets along seafont, at the De La Warr and at the park.
