Stayed 2 nights in June for a funeral so even though very sad occasion still enjoyed our stay.
Excellent service from owner and partner - super breakfast - lovely clean rooms - good parking on the street as just far enough out of the centre.
Would give 4.5 stars if possible as room 4 is not en suite but not enough of a problem not to give 5 stars. Would stay again but be warned only a couple of decent restaurants in Bexhill and the best ones need driving to.

Room Tip: not 4 if possible - 3 looked better

I received a really warm welcome to this lovely home. The accommodation is of an excellent quality, clean and comfortable and I enjoyed a really good nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely. It is an easy walk from the train station and all the centre of Bexhill which has a good selection of nice restaurants. Highly recommended.

My wife and I are so glad we booked a room at Arden House last April - a real gem in Bexhill-on-Sea! Peter´s hospitality is absolutely outstanding and the accommodation just perfect. After a long trip and a cold day out we received a very warm welcome by Peter and we were taken immediately to one of his cosy rooms with lovely decoration, a gorgeous double bed and a fantastic shower in a spotless and perfectly clean bathroom. After Peter had switched on the radiators, our room became warm very soon and we enjoyed the quiet and comfortable night. The breakfast was fabulous as we could choose from a great variety of delicious food (my wife still remembers the extra cucumber slices served especially for her). So, all in all, we did not really want to leave that morning. But we will be back for sure! Thank you very much, Peter!

On our way to Weymouth we needed a place to stay for just one night. On our arrival Peter gave us a warm welcome. The room in the first floor was brilliant and charming decorated by Peter and in contrary to the weather cozy and comfortably warm. The room was full equipped with TV, WiFi, tea, coffee and water. We felt in a second like at home. Peter was also very helpful to find a good restaurant. To the beach and centre it is only a couple of minutes to walk no need to use the car. The breakfast was the icing on the cake. Peter prepared the best breakfast we ever had in England. Five Stars! On our way back to Germany we decides spantaneously to spend an additional night at Arden House. We got a different room, with also individual charme, just outstanding as before. It was like visiting a friend. Peter, thank you very much for your hospitality. We will be back as soon as possible but for longer.
Regards Ana Maria and Joachim

The booking process was very quick and simple. On arrival I was treated to a lovely toasted homemade scone in the room which was a very tasty addition to the already excellent range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate which came with fresh milk. The room was cosy with a nice powerful shower (with good quality shampoo, body wash etc included) and a tv with freeview. There were also lots of books and movies. The bed was very comfortable and the area quiet and residential. We had no problems parking outside.

After a very tasty breakfast cooked to order we walked to the seafront which took about 5 minutes. As we were going to a wedding later that day the owner, Peter, was very accommodating and didn't rush us out in the morning.

I will be recommending Arden House to everyone and hope to go back soon!

My son and I needed a place to stay in Bexhill for a week in March and found Arden House on Google/TripAdvisor. Impressed by the reviews, we booked there for our stay; our first time in England. We are so very happy that we did! Peter greeted us at the door and welcomed us in with refreshments (tea and cakes), which were much appreciated after a very long journey from Atlanta, Georgia (9 hr. flight, 1 hr. tube, and 2 hr. train). Throughout the week, Peter and Martin were very friendly and helpful, treating us more as friends than just guests. The vintage house filled with lovely antiques really felt warm and cosy; our room beautifully furnished and decorated, making us feel right at home. There was a hospitality tray that stayed stocked with a variety of teas, coffee, and hot chocolate. The entire house, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean. The beds were extremely comfortable, making for many wonderful nights' sleep. Throughout the week we had opportunity to try practically everything on the breakfast menu. My son and I agree that we had during our week there the best breakfasts we'd ever had. Everything, (especially the omelets) were outstanding, and the conservatory was a very pleasant place to start our days. The B&B is situated in a very peaceful, but central location and Peter was very knowledgeable about the area; willing to stop and chat anytime we had a question or just wanted to talk. Overall, we have no complaints, though many compliments. One thing (out of many) that makes this B&B soar above others, is the little touches and attention to detail that Peter and Martin give, from leaving a lamp on to keep us from returning to a dark room to fresh flowers in the room and fresh milk for our afternoon tea every day. We really felt pampered and would highly recommend Arden House to anyone needing a place to stay in the south of England. Needless to say, when we left after eight nights, we truly felt like we were saying goodbye to our very good friends. We would definitely stay here again, should we ever get back to England as it's a very good value for such a priceless experience. God bless, Mary and Jason
