Staying at the The Old manse was an extraordinary experience for us. It's a lovely place where all your dreams come true. Debbie and Eric give you are warm welcome and take care of everything you need. The homemade breakfast, afternoon tea and cake, as well as the dinner is superb. The only thing they cannot influence is the weather. We would add at least another star to The Old Manse.
We will definitely come back.

This is B&B in a class of its own. A warm welcome awaits you and your room will have everything you could hope for plus much more. Stunning bedroom and bathroom and everything spotlessly clean and very well cared for. Debbie and Eric are the perfect hosts and will help you with all your requirements. The evening meal menu looked very tempting but time did not permit us to sample it. We'll be back!

The best ever B&B we have ever stayed in, we would actualy go out of our way to stay there again.Debbie & Eric were so welcoming kind & helpful, with out being intrusive.
The Old Manse is a lovely house, wonderfully warm comfortable & spotlessly clean.
Sadly we weren't there long enough to have an evening meal, as we were out with family of an evening, but the breakfast was great, with home made breads & fresh fruit, home made granola, & a wonderful cooked breakfast.
All in all, as good as any 5star hotel.

Try it you won't be disapointed, every bit as good as the photo's you see on the web site & better we reccomend this B&B 100%

Room Tip: The Egerton suite

We have stayed a number of times and on each occassion have found every aspect of our stay to be excellent. Debbie & Eric always extend a very warm welcome and are willing to share their extensive local knowledge with us. The house is spotlessly clean throughout, the bedrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished with large comfortable beds which make for a very good night's sleep and the bathrooms are fantastic. There are so many tempting choices on offer at breakfast - making a selection is the hard part - but whatever is chosen is presented beautifully and always cooked to perfection. A stay here cannot be too highly recommended . Thank you Debbie, Eric and Oliver for making all of our visits so special - as always we look forward to the next one. S & R Cambridge.

We have recently returned from spending a week at this totally delightful guest house in the Bexhill area. We knew it would be something special because we had previously checked the reviewers comments on Tripadvisor but nothing could have prepared us for the sheer excellence of this gorgeous house.

From the moment we arrived Debbie and Eric made us feel so welcome and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble. I know that is a bit of a cliche but it is so true. They were so easy to chat to that they made it seem as though you had known them for ages.

Everything has been thought of for the comfort and relaxation of the guests and we have never stayed anywhere that is so scrupulously clean. The guest house itself is truly elegant and sumptious and the breakfasts are absolutely delicious, with so much choice you are at a loss as to what to choose. Definitely try the homemade granola: it is scrumptious! I did blame Debbie for feeding us so well each morning that we didn't have room for afternoon tea in the lovely tearooms in the area!

We had the 'smaller' of the two rooms, if you could call it that because it was still huge, as was the lovely bathroom too. Every comfort had been thought of and the bed was fantastic. It was enormous and we both slept really well. It was a very airy room with a view of the sea over the rooftops and was kept immaculately clean throughout our stay.

The guest house is situated conveniently closely to both the beach and the railway station (not so close as to disturb you) and so we spent a very reasonably priced day out in London - £18 return, which included a one day travel pass for the underground, buses, etc. and it was great that we only had to walk just around the corner to catch the train. On our return, slightly exhausted, Debbie greeted us with a very welcome slice of homemade cake each and we retired to relax in the comfort of our room.

There is absolutely nothing negative to say about this guest house. It is totally sheer luxury and is run expertly by a really lovely couple, who could not possibly do anything else to make your stay perfect. Needless to say, if we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay at The Old Manse.

Many, many thanks Debbie and Eric, for making our stay with you so wonderful. Good luck to Oliver with his music exams!

Room Tip: Both rooms are huge and gorgeous, you will not be disappointed with either of them. They are almost...

We needed to stay in Bexhill to attend a friend's 65th birthday lunch at the Cooden Beach Hotel. As soon as we saw the Old Manse website and photos of the room we knew this was for us and we were not disappointed. On arrival Debbie welcomed us and our friend, who had called in to see us in a bit of a tiz (the party was a surprise!) with tea and cake.We stayed in the Egerton suite, absolutely perfect. Spotlessly clean and the bathroom was amazing. Debbie and Eric cooked us dinner for Saturday evening which was lovely as was breakfast on both mornings. Monday morning was nice and sunny so we sat outside on the front porch. Will hopefully be back soon to stay with this lovely family.
