“Lovely setting, delicious food, local ice cream and great gift shop!”

We love this place, the walled garden is so pretty. The staff are always helpful and cheerful. We had jacket potatoes and portions were generous. We have also had delicious cream teas on other occasions. We love the Alder Tree ice creams they serve too, they are out of this world! We can not come here without wandering through the extensive gift shop and never manage to escape empty- handed!!

A really lovely tea garden, with great furniture and lots of healthy-looking plants. And joy of joys, they served a proper tea-cake, buttered the second it was toasted and delivered in an aromatic, buttery state. Dog friendly - just a great place to have tea. Go there!

The Parish Lantern is one of the nicest tea rooms we have been to. Beautiful garden, fantastic produce and proper home made food. I'd reaally recommend the drab sandwiches. Quality all round.

Lovely little tea room attached to a gift shop with a pretty walled patio garden at the back. Lunches are paninis, sandwiches and filled jacket potatoes all served with a large salad, home made coleslaw and crisps. Also cream teas, cakes and massive donuts filled with jam and cream. Lovely manageress and staff. Kitchen, which you can see into, teeny tiny but spotlessly clean. As with most places in this area, a tad overpriced!
