This was our first visit to Southwold for a long weekend break. The house is large and comfortable with everything you could need during your stay, and I would happily recommend this property.
This is the second time we have stayed in Southwold, this time we decided to try a holiday rental. we picked out 'The Old Rope House' because it looked like our own home.
We were correct, warm, quirky, beautiful house, plenty of space to room around in , only 2 of us but we could have had the family with us , grand kids included.
Now we know of the exact location , 10 mins to town , slow walk, 5 mins to sea front.
We shall try and all get together early new year.
Southwold, eating places. Lord Nelson , good great atmosphere, Coaters restaurant cosy and warm , good food,
Honestly did not come across a bad place to eat, and the local shops although a bit expensive everything is of good value.
The butchers on market square, the bakeries and the local deli , scotch eggs to die for plus great selection of pies and salads.
Cannot rate Southwold high enough, we have been all over the UK and easily this is to place to visit for a week, long weekend whatever you choose.
the Boss was forever walking along the beach - sea front for many a mile.
The restaurant on the pier , also very good, missed out on this trip as was booked for a party.
We will return....
