This was our first stay at The Blyth in Southwold. It was a lovely welcoming hotel, felt homely but still maintained a modern and professionally run hotel. Our room was lovely and spacious and bed was very comfortable. Smart modern bathroom. All very clean and well maintained. The restaurant had a very relaxed atmosphere and the food was out of this world. Great location for all amenities in Southwold. Will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Room Tip: Superior King room - nice and spacious.

What a pleasant surprise. This was our first experience of a Groupon deal and we weren't disappointed. The room(no 10) was delightful with a very comfortable king-size bed. The shower room looked newly fitted with a great double size shower cubicle. The afternoon tea on arrival was delightful - especially as it included a glass of pink fizz!!

Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Thank you Steve D for your review...

I presume you were staying over on Business, and glad you enjoyed your stay with us.
I hope you managed to take advantage of Breakfast before checking out, as it sounded as though you may have had to leave before breakfast orders were taken, between 8 and 9.30am.
Should you happen to visit again in the future, and need to leave before 8am, just let us know and Chef will prepare a ' Breakfast Bag' the night before you depart for you to take with you. Also, for future reference, our Buffet table is normally prepared from 7/ 7.15 onwards onwards, giving Business guests the opportunity to at least enjoy cereal, toast, yoghurts, pastries, cheeses and ham with tea or coffee before setting off for the day.

Thanks again and we look forward to welcoming you back sometime soon...

Richard

Enjoyed 3 day DBB. Room 1 smaller but perfectly adequate for a couple who spend little time in rooms. Breakfast and dinner of high quality and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Great location - bracing mid-March walk down Pier Avenue to the sea front. Great value for money and hope to visit again. Nothing to do with the Hotel, but don't be kidded it's a short walk to Walberswick. Overall, a refreshing break at a great Hotel..

Room Tip: Room 1 if all you need is to get your head down.

Hello slxhh,

Not much I can say to that review apart from .. Thank You ..!
Sounds as though you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to seeing you again in the future, unless of course you decide to give one of the other Hotels in town a chance next time - which I sincerely hope you don't ... sorry Adnams !

Best Wishes,

Richard

This hotel is quintessential Southwold. We enjoyed a delightful short break with extremely well presented and tastily prepared food, served by courteous people in a friendly environment. Little details like home made conserves in miniature kilner jars, Adnams Pink fizz with our cream tea... No wonder it has won consistent Food awards. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends, knowing that they would not be disappointed.

Thank you so much Lucy P for your positive feedback and the time taken to post it ...
Glad to hear that the homemade Cream Teas hit the spot, along with the Adnams Pink Fizz ! It is always nice to hear genuine, encouraging comments from customers who have eaten with us and I always take great pleasure in passing these comments, such as yours, back to our committed Kitchen Staff who work so hard on a daily basis to produce good, local food which has, as you kindly mention, earned the Hotel several Food Awards.
I'm glad we helped make your break in Southwold an enjoyable one and your comments will be warmly received by my team ...
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Blyth sometime in the future

Best Wishes

Richard
