We popped in here for a takeaway. We ordered a bacon bap, a sausage & bacon bap and 2 coffees. The price was a shocker..... Nearly £16!!!!! Food and coffee was nice but not worth the price. Won't be visiting again!!!

Nice outside seating area with covered (plant cover) trellis that my children remember not long after it had begun to grow! Daily specials added to an average menu with all the usual suspects, but the food is plentiful and freshly made. Summer salads included smoked mackerel or smoked trout, both of which were excellent. For me, the salad (which comes with potatoes) was just enough for a lunchtime meal so that you didn't feel over full. The family enjoyed the baguettes and the all day breakfast. However, it gets very busy at meal times, which can be difficult if there are a number of you. Be prepared to have to wait.

My husband & I, having missed lunch, fancied a light snack, so we asked for 1 cream tea & a sausage sandwich, only to be informed that they only do cakes after 3pm! What then is the point of the establishment being called a tea room AND cafe, I presumed that a cafe would serve light snacks! Saying that though, it was a whole 4 minutes after 3pm, but obviously it was too much effort for the waitress to suggest a quick alternative to help us out.
We stuck to the cream tea for myself & a coffee for my husband, but just the tea & coffee arrived- no scone/jam/cream!
By this point we were loosing the will to live, so drank up, paid & left.
Really wish we had looked on here before going there, as there are more negative comments than good & it would certainly have made us think twice.
Needless to say, we will NOT be returning!

We went into Trinity's for a much needed cuppa and sandwich. We took a seat and waited some time before a waitress came over to take our order. We asked for a cheese & chutney sandwich plus a ham & mustard one but were told that they did not do it. We then asked for a cheese & tomato one but again were told that they did not do it. We were told they only did what was on the menu.
We eventually decided on beans on toast & a ham sandwich. The beans on toast arrived with a salad garnish and yes you have guessed it there WAS TOMATO. The ham sandwich was also delivered and we found some sachets of MUSTARD in the condiments container.
The food was good but it will not make up for the service and therefore they have lost two customers to another cafe in the town. It is very hard to get business nowadays but when you do get it you have to go the extra mile to keep people coming back especially is somewhere like Southwold where there is so much choice.
