Unfortunately I have to write a review with massive disappointment!
We’ve been visiting Southwold for the last 3 years. We've been eating in the Lord Nelson before and I must say the food before was much better. On the menu it use to be choice of pasta, cheese board selection and much more.

Today the food looked very cheep and disgraceful!!!!
Even Iceland make an effort.
We ordered scampi, good luck to find anything inside, lots of brad crumbs that’s all, The Camembert turned up cold and not very tasty.
No childrens menu either!!!!
We definitely won’t be going back for long time.

My wife and I were a little stuck for somewhere to eat as we hadn't booked anywhere. We stumbled across the Lordf Nelson and we're glad we did.
Other reviews mention locals being unfriendly but this did't seem to be the case at all. We were treated very well by staff and other customers alike and had a tasty meal served promptly. We even stayed and had another drink.

This was the best pub in Southwold, BUT the pub has gone down hill, staff on there phone while people waiting for a drink, dirty floor, sticky bar , ladies toilets lost for words. Not really sure what's happen , but very disappointed to see a lovely pub in such a mess, really hope someone takes the time to give this pub some love and attention.

I had sausage and mash with enormous onion rings, really nice meal. The staff were really friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere. Dogs are welcome.
