“Really friendly owner who was very accommodating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

The food is always good and the owner is very friendly. I prefer the atmosphere in the bar area as it can be quite quiet in the restaurant. Very consistent which is always comforting .

“A birthday disaster”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013 via mobile

Looked forward to a great meal for four to celebrate mum's 70th birthday. It was a quiet Monday evening but despite the restaurant not being busy three meals arrived cold and one was lukewarm. It also hadn't been explained that veg was extra so the plates were sparse . Staff apologetic but we couldn't wait to leave and eat elsewhere.

“well worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 9, 2013

If breakfast is anything to go by this is a very good restaurant. The menu looks inviting but unfortunately we could't lunch or dine there. Next time definitely!

“Bar menu was tasty but service was slow”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013 via mobile

We ordered off the bar menu and because we weren't that hungry had a starter as a main - the portion sizes were decent. However the service let it down. It took over an hour for 3 starters to be prepared (and the restaurant wasn't even that full) and then the wrong order was brought. However the staff were trying their best. Unfortunately the Blyth was located next to a busy road so all you could hear in the garden were cars passing by. If the service were to be improved I would visit again but I would preferably go somewhere with a superior setting.

“Not bad...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

Located at the far end of the high street, we decided to try this for lunch on Saturday. Staff seemed inexperienced, but tried their best. Food was ok. Would suggest the blue lighthouse for better value. Would probably return during the quite season though.
