“Lovely, relaxing end of summer retreat”
Reviewed September 2, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Wonderful very modern, pristine and comfortable chalet in great situation with quiet seaside view. Easy access to local amenities and good walks down to nearby Thorpeness. Includes all mod cons including large fridge, washing machine and dishwasher with well appointed kitchen.

Close proximity to Sizewell power stations is no hinderance - on the map appears very close but invisible from chalet and vast secluded unspoilt beach and walks quickly take you away.

Great for a couple or young family.

“Relax, unwind and enjoy everything the Lodge has to offer!”
Reviewed August 26, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The Suffolk Lodge is a wonderful place to go to relax and unwind. Leave the French doors open and listen to the waves on the beach whilst reading a book. Watch fisherman checking their pots first thing in the morning. Make the effort to rise early and catch the sun rising out of the sea.

The Suffolk Lodge is superbly placed, with all tastes catered for just a stone skim away. Walk south to Thorpeness along the coastal path, a little further and you could have fish and chips at Aldeburgh. To the north and only 500m away fantastic breakfasts at Sizewell T. Further up the coast is the beautiful RSPB Minsmere still in walking distance.

For those who enjoy fishing, plenty of night fisherman our on the beach directly in front of the Lodge, must be a good spot. Or the the more little hearted of you crabbing at Walberswick. Carry on further and across the river from Walberswick is the lovely Southwold with the pier at the northern end and the small fishing docks next to the crabbing.

If you enjoy the Arts you have Snape Maltings around the corner and there is nothing better then watching and listening to a concert knowing you are able to drive back a short distance to recollect what you have just seen and heard whilst soaking up the the last of the waves before bed.

We have already decided this is going to be a regular spot for us to come and relax, unwind and enjoy everything the Lodge has to offer.

“Wow! Wonderfully Relaxing!”
Reviewed August 18, 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Staying at the Suffolk Holiday Lodge was fantastic! The lodge is excellent and the views beyond belief. Whether inside, or out on the deck overlooking the sea it is such a restful place to be. The beach is just a few yards away and the sound of the waves on the shoreline adds to the relaxation. The lodge was easy to book, had great facilities and was everything we expected and more for a restful week by the coast. We had a great time, would certainly recommend to friends and will definitely return to Suffolk Holiday Lodge!

“A breathtaking location that offers everything !!!”
Reviewed July 16, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The Lodge is perfectly situated right next to the beach. I can't praise it enough! The view from the living area looks straight out to sea and is wonderful for watching the sun rise or fall. The property has been wonderfully maintained with everything that you could need for a family holiday. Whether you wish to take some strolls along the coastal routes direct from the property or prefer to use it as a base for exploring Suffolk, the location is ideal for offering variety.

There are facilities on site available for table tennis, snooker etc for occupying the children after a day out or if the weather is not too kind.

For those who enjoy wildlife, there is the fantastic flagship RSPB reserve, Minsmere only a 10 minute drive away. It can be reached within 40 minutes by foot.

We visited Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Stowmarket, Saxmundham (for Supermarkets), Bury St Edmunds and Woodbridge.

A truly restful and relaxing holiday. We will certainly want to come back again.

“Great location and view!”
Reviewed July 13, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

A lovely find for a relaxing week away. The lodge is situated on a holiday park which did concern me before arrival, however, the park is small and quiet and so wasn't an issue. The views are amazing and the whole time spent in the lodge is spent listening to the sea. A car is essential as there is not much in the immediate area, but it's only a ten minute drive into Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. This is perfect for a week away from all the stresses and strains of busy working lives.
