We recently spent a relaxing night at the Fluyders Arms and cannot fault it. From the moment we arrived at the beautifully restored Edwardian building to the moment we left it oozed style and quality. A real asset to our town and that part of the seafront. We had an amazing room (no 5) with fantastic sea views and balcony. The room was very well appointed with everything you think of all to a very high standard. Huge TV, and en-suite walk in shower! The driftwood mirrors were a nice touch and added to the seaside feel! All the staff were extremely polite and attentive. We enjoyed a delicious evening meal with a good variety on the menu and then had breakfast the following morning of scrambled eggs with smoked salmon. We look forward to returning again to sample something else from the menu.

Room Tip: Highly recommend booking Room No 5 - panoramic views with balcony.

Second visit to this hotel. Very pleased with the room again. The staff are very accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was better than our first stay, but I believe our first stay as within the first weeks of the remodel, so we assumed they were still working out the kinks. No 'sea view' rooms were available, so we decided on a room with a balcony, which as it turns out overlooked the sea! Love the clean fresh decor. Very nice bath and shower facilities. Nice large fluffy towels, but at these prices, I would expect not to have to bring my own flannel for the shower. Great in room coffee, tea, hot chocolate as well as still and sparkling water. Fresh milk supplied daily. Only place I'd consider staying (except with the in-laws when they aren't over run with guest)!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are very nice. The wind can be quite strong during cooler times of the year, but the...

I cannot speak highly enough about The Fludyer Arms Hotel - the rooms are tastefully decorated with no expense spared. The bathroom was amazing with large walk-in shower and bath. We stayed in room 6 and our balcony ran along the whole length and width of our room. The views are stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed listening to the waves at night. The room has air con which is excellent and very quiet. The breakfast was delicious although a little small as we are vegetarian and there were no non meat or fish alternatives. Can't wait to visit again.

This hotel has 12 rooms with a family suite and a disabled suite
The staff gave us a very friendly welcome on our arrival. The check in is close to the bar and we enjoyed a pint while checking in, much needed as we had driven 200 miles.
The room was of a high standard with a balcony over looking the sea.
We had a very good evening meal and the breakfast was a delight with a good range of choice to set us up for the day.The service was excellant and friendly.
Would highly recomend and will be returning in the future.

good to see what's been done to this old hotel - really very nice renovation that gives a lovely focus to the sleepy beach at the north end of the town. bar area is elegant and buzzy and the restaurant itself is airy and spacious with a panoramic sea view at one end and a huge mirror at the other that reflects the view and gives the impression of being surrounded by water. the service in the restaurant was very good too: friendly and efficient. only let-down on our visit was the food - the prices promise a level of quality that the kitchen really is a long way short of being able to deliver. if you do eat here then you will enjoy the atmosphere but stick to the basic menu items or risk feeling disappointed

We were looking for a weekend to chill out and saw that the Fludyers had recently opened. What a wonderful stay. The location is at the quieter end of the Felixstowe with wonder wide sandy beaches in front of it. The welcome was warm and you were quickly shown to your room where we had one with a sea view and balcony. The room itself was pristine an elegantly decorated and had ample seating areas and a huge bed. The bathroom was luxurious with a top end shower and bath. Sitting on the balcony in the sun watching the ships sail in to Felixstowe was relaxing as was the wine and nibbles that accompanied it. Dinner that evening was a treat, the sort of menu where you want several of each course. Service was great but relaxed. The next morning still feeling full it seemed only right to have the full English that was included with the room. Cooked to perfection and our only problem was wondering if we could make it back up to our room. Can't wait to stay again.

My first impression of the Fludyers was that it looks fairly upmarket inside and out and has made an attempt to be stylish, in the style of the Milsoms venues in the area. We just had a drink on our visit, the seating was good with nice views, and the bar staff were excellent, better than the companies other establishments. We were going to have something off the limited bar menu but were told it was no longer available as it was after 6pm, Looking at the dinner menu, it would seem that an average three course meal and a bottle of wine would cost you around £80 for two. I earn a good salary but wouldn't be prepared to pay that much for something although isnt really that special. I would go there for a bar snack however, but these are limited in availability and time you can have them. Overall I like the venue, and hope that they will increase the availability of lower cost bar food as time goes on. For a dinner though we would go to places like Milsoms, which offer nicer venues still, but at a similar cost
