“Not the most welcoming”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

Arrived after kitchen closed. No offer of anything to eat. Staff rather diffident. Welcome drink though after walk from Westleton on a cold but dry day.

“Nice food but a little overpriced”
Reviewed October 24, 2012 via mobile

Really nice pub but value for money and service could have been a bit better. The chilli chicken and noodles were delicious but at £14 they should have been! It is only a pub after all. The chocolate cheesecake was good too. It was a shame our plates weren't cleared before the puddings arrived but we still enjoyed it!

“Lovely food!”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Great food, good value, dog-friendly - you even get a dog biscuit if you're lucky. Fish and chips are fab.

“Excellent fish and chips”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

The Ship gets very full at lunch time and that's no surprise: people come from miles around for its famed fish and chips. We ordered a pint of best bitter and were amazed by the generous portions which tasted as good as they looked. Highly recommended - especially on a blustery autumn day!
