“Fabulous home from home”

Lark Cottage is a generously proportioned house of character. It is beautifully presented with everything, and I mean everything, you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The views to Titchwell Marsh and the sea are stunning. The highlight of our stay has to be the geese flying to and from their nesting site each morning and evening - magnificent (and we're not bird watchers!).
There are 4 lovely bedrooms, 2 en suites, a family bathroom and downstairs loo. We slept in the fabulous master suite on the second floor. The telescope is great fun!
The open plan kitchen dining room and garden room are a real bonus. There's a utility room, and cosy sitting room too.
The owner clearly prides herself on ensuring total comfort and excellent value for money. It is a well loved home.
The location is perfect: great walks to the lovely sandy beach which stretches forever; proximity to pretty North Norfolk villages and towns ( if Burnham Market shopping is good enough for the Duchess of Cambridge it's good enough for me!); and good quality eateries/delis etc on the doorstep (we thought the Ship Hotel at Brancaster was the best but there are many others).
We unreservedly recommend this fabulous place to stay.

“Our new favourite in North Norfolk”
Reviewed August 14, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Some good friends of ours stayed in Lark Cottage in Aug 2015 and we had the pleasure of dining with them. We knew that it was a special place the moment we arrived at the house, so as soon as we heard they did not want the same weeks again this year, we jumped at the chance!

We never needed a 4 bedder before as we used to be a family of 4, but the arrival of twins this year and the need for a bed for extra help made the decision very simple.

The unobstructed view over the marshes is probably the best I have ever had in a holiday home, making it very pleasurable to sit and enjoy the back garden, and this only improves as you climb the three floors (made even better by the telescope in the top floor bedroom!)

In fairness we did not sit and admire the view as much because we were out all day on the beaches most days! Titchwell is perfectly located for Brancaster and Holme Dunes, with Holkham and Wells also not too far away.

The open plan nature of the kitchen, dining area and conservatory make the space ideal for keeping an eye on the kids, and for entertaining - we had a very nice dinner one night for some friends and everybody loved it! Also the kitchen has every utensil imaginable. The two main bedrooms are massive and the two smaller bedrooms are still a decent size, perfect for the kids.

All in all we had a great two week stay, the kids were gutted to leave and we really hope we'll be able to go back again same time next year.
Many Thanks Angela!

“Lovely house, great location, beautiful back garden view!!”

I had booked for my family to stay in Lark Cottage as a surprise for my dad's birthday and was certainly not disappointed.
The house was perfect for what we needed, great size, brilliant location, with a gorgeous back garden view.
If you are looking for a fairly big house which sleeps 8 people then this house is ideal.
The beach is close by and seeing the seals is a must!
Angela the owner was very welcoming and even left us a bottle of bubbles and a lovely cake on arrival which went down very well.
I recommend this lovely house to anyone who wants to see visit Norfolk.

“Simply wonderful”

Thank you Angela for making our holiday at your beautiful Lark Cottage so special.
The wall of roses around the front porch with their magnificent aroma provides the most gorgeous welcome to Lark Cottage.
As you would expect, there are all the kitchen tools and wares you need should you wish to stay in and cook, but I would say that this house provides more than you would expect, with a huge array of trays, pans, casserole dishes, and really useful tools like a hand-held blitzer and magimix…brilliant.
There are some really charming pieces of furniture scattered throughout the property and fantastic seascape artwork. The living room is very comfortable and the sofas were lovely to fall into after a day out walking. The downstairs loo has good hanging space for coats etc. The beds are extremely comfortable, with high-quality bed-linen. All bedrooms are of a good size; in particular, the Master on the 3rd floor is extremely spacious, and feels more like a luxury loft suite. There are 2 sinks in the master en-suite, and loads of room for toiletries etc, which just makes everything so much easier when getting ready each morning.
The views from the kitchen/conservatory (and back bedrooms) over the garden, across the field and down to the coast are stunning – uninterrupted and magnificent. Fascinating to observe the goings-on of the seal colony which is visible from the master bedroom through the telescope (great quality telescope incidentally).
If you love food, then this provides the perfect base. We had a fabulous Plaice dish at Titchwell manor with a super bottle of Puligny Montrachet. Tasty fish and chips at Erics. Great deli at Thornham with the most delicious local bread. Great lunch at the Orange tree in Thornham - try the starter Crispy T.F.C. (THORNHAM FRIED CHICKEN), it is super tasty. The White Horse was also lovely. All of these restaurants are either a 50-yard stroll, or within 5 mins drive of Lark cottage.
We are definitely coming back – a simply wonderful holiday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lark Cottage. The house is extremely comfortable and cosy, despite it being quite large. All our needs were catered for. We, and our dog, enjoyed the treats left for us by Angela. The views out across the marshes towards the sea are spectacular. The fact that you can sit in the sun lounge and enjoy wonderful sightings of birds and wildlife makes any holiday very special.
Thanks Angela. We look forward to visiting again soon.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at lark Cottage in Titchwell with our 4 whippets, Wetherby, Hobson, Hattie and Archie. Where do you start? everything was perfect from the initial booking confirmation all was always better than expected. The cottage is beautifully located overlooking a bird conservation area, with onward views to the coast.....The cottage itself was immaculate with everything considered! a welcome bottle of bubbly, dog treats for the pack with personalised doggy holiday tags.....the house was spotless and extremely well equipped, no doubt the nicest holiday cottage we have ever been too....many thanks Angela for allowing us to stay at your lovely house and no doubt we will be coming over again! Derek,Sharon and the pack.
