“Perfect for a relaxing break”

Ideal location for walking along the North Norfolk coastal paths. Lovely, cosy cottage with an open fire and very well equipped kitchen.

“Lavender cottage stiffkey”
Reviewed September 18, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

Lovely cottage but let down by lack of cleaniess stain and gritty floor tiles and a very sad bathroom in need of an update, clean it up and we will be back again.

Management Response
Sep 21, 2017
We are pleased you liked our cottage but obviously very sorry to hear the tiled floor did not appear clean. We do ask guests to contact our local property manager on arrival if anything is not satisfactory in order that it can be rectified, as we do aim to give our guests a stay they will enjoy. At this stage, all I can do is apologise and assure you I will feed back your comments to our cleaners.

The bathroom is redecorated every couple of years and is due to be done again this winter.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback; it helps us to monitor the experience/views of our guests and is appreciated.

Kind regards

“Perfect !”
Reviewed July 9, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Great location - in the middle of all that we love of the North Norfolk coast. Stukkey ( the local name for Stiffkey ) is a lovely old village with a terrific pub and shop. A number of walks which take you to the marshes and the sea. Lavender cottage was so comfortable and peaceful, a great bed and best kitchen/dining ever. We had a delightful week ! Would definately stay again.

“well equipped and well placed”

Prior to the stay the owner was very helpful in answering some questions. The Cottage is very well equipped and has most things you'd want for a long weekend away. Location is excellent.

“Lovely little cottage in Stiffkey”

We stayed here as a little family for 2 weeks and were very happy with the cottage. There was a wide selection of cooking utensils and games/CDs etc, so it really did feel like a home from home.

The floors were a bit dirty and there were a few cobwebs/patches of crumbling plaster, but many authentic style cottages are like this, but had to watch our little one year old at times. Hygeine was good in the kitchen and bathroom.

The rooms were a good size and we had some restful nights in the bed. One thing to consider is the narrow stairs leading down to the only bathroom downstairs. We were fine, but had to be super stealthy with our baby upstairs and keep the downstairs light on.

Natasha was excellent and professional during the planning stages and during the time we were there.

Stiffkey is a bit awkward with a buggy due to narrow roads, but the location was good for getting to other locations.

Lovely holiday - North Norfolk is superb!

“Exactly as advertised and well equipped”

An enjoyable and comfortable stay as cottage both cosy and extremely well equipped. Weather very kind to us so we made the most of our surroundings visiting Cromer, Wells, Sheringham and local coast walks. The courtyard was a real sun trap although small, but had the weather been disappointing the cottage was pleasant and with open fire should the need arise in winter months! The village shop was quaint and characteristic. We would certainly consider returning in the future.
