We were confused about the Crown. We first went on a Friday evening an the place was full of teenagers with loud music and strobing lighting. We avoided it until the Sunday evening when we needed a venue with TV's. it was a great find. Actually they were the best staff we met during our three night stay in Sheringham. Good beer and good value.

big pub with some sea views and outside boozing area. 3 bars, pool table, tv. wasn't too hopeful about real ale but was very good, didn't eat but prices looked reasonable, not exactly an atmospheric place but apparently stays open late fri and sat with bands on sats. bit boring during the week, banging at the weekend i expect. dogs allowed in pub.

Went for lunch today and the food was dreadful. My 3 year old had fish fingers and we wouldn't let her eat them as they looked awful - a disgusting grey colour of fish and solid consistency. A cheap frozen brand I suspect. My husbands meal was equally bad. A real shame as this pub has a great setting - why don't these sea front places use fish from the local fishermen? Definitely wouldn't recommend.

Lunch stop and it all worked ok. Service good and the sandwiches excellent. Tables outside a bit grubby and all has ashtrays but inside was fine. Toilets just acceptable but could do with a good clean.
