“An Enjoyable Meal”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

Labone was only our fifth Indian restaurant meal so we do not have a lot to compare it with but thought the whole experience was good.

The restaurant is fairly roomy. The service friendly, efficient and attentive but not rushed. (At other Indian restaurants we have felt that they just wanted to serve us and get rid of us.)

The food was tasty, the portions generous and the price reasonable. Our true rating would be ‘Good’ but that is not an option on Tripadvisor.

Other reviewers seem to have had concerns about the food hygiene rating but North Norfolk District Council gave it a 5 rating in February 2012. The toilets are also very clean

We would visit again.

“Slop disguised as food”
Reviewed August 7, 2012 via mobile

Two separate dishes tasting the same. Incredibly runny sauce with the obligatory tin of carrots and tin of peas poured in! I had a meat jalfazi and the wife had a prawn dish. Both dishes had the same warm sauce and tasted revolting. I noticed it had no health star rating either which wouldn't surprise me, unfortunately I only noticed on leaving. Stay away!

They turned up our house with the food and when we found out they didn't accept cash they phoned to police straight away and were very rude to us. We explained that we didn't realise that they only accepted card and they called me a liar. Ontop of this they overcharged us and forgot some of the orders. Worst place, never ordering again. I'm going to make sure i tell everyone I know.

“Late night tasty madras hit the spot”
Reviewed August 2, 2012 via mobile

Ok, so the interior is very 80's and the head waiter/owner struggles to find a smile but we really enjoyed our meal, and we eat a lot of curries! I had chicken tikka bhuna, madras hot with pineapple rice and chapati. Curry was nice and hot, lovely rice with a rich, tasty sauce. Other half had balti chicken served in bucket, again, tasty sauce. Chicken in each was plentiful and fresh. The young waiter was excellent, knew how to clear down properly and was friendly. Excellent value and will return. It was very quiet (4 other tables) hence average atmosphere.

“Not had a bad one yet”
Reviewed July 20, 2012 via mobile

We're not local but visit family in Sheringham several times a year. A trip to the Labone is compulsory. We've never had a bad meal yet. If you're lucky enough to go on a buffet night, then the choice is amazing - the best Indian buffet we've come across in our travels.
