I was tasked with finding a pub with a children's play area in the Cromer area. As I am not familiar with this part of the world, I googled the requirement and the Dunstable Arms came up as having been given the thumbs-up by mumsnet.

The Dunstable Arms is what can only be described as an old fashioned seaside resort pub. The lunch menu has some usual favourites such as an all-day breakfast and various omelettes served in an unusual way. Once the two large dogs had been removed from the play area we enjoyed the sunshine whilst waiting for the food. This was acceptable but was served on cold plates which meant that the food itself was soon cold.

We received a warm welcome and the Dunstable Arms fitted the bill, just. The cost was higher than expected though.

Had an enjoyable fish and chip meal this evening on BOGOF offer. Well cooked, nicely presented and efficiently served by pleasant member of staff. Clean establishment which had homely atmosphere. Highly recommended for a good value meal and drink.

We visited the Dunstable Arms on a Friday night, the restaurant looked lovely and very inviting. We had a 3 course meal and each part was well presented with great flavours. We both had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The chocolate brownie was one of the best I have ever had!! We will be back!!

What a lovely warm welcome we received from the young man who attended us at The Dunstable Arms on a very cold Saturday night. He was very polite and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and cooked superbly, good quality produce was used. The young chef also came out to talk to us as we wanted to thank him for such a lovely meal. I cannot understand why we were the only people in the restaurant. It was spotlessly clean, staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us, the restaurant itself is cosy and warm.

I urge people to visit this hidden gem, you wont be disappointed We will certainly be visiting this pub again. I would say the food is amongst some of the best I have tasted. All in all a thoroughly wonderful experience was had.
