We had a takeaway from here after reading the reviews and the food was generally good, although the poppadoms seemed to be cooked in old oil as they were an odd colour and didnt taste that great.
The rest of the meal was good, but nothing outstanding.
I probably wouldn't return again and would choose to try someone different if in the area again.

Recently stayed in Worstead and we were looking for somewhere to eat locally. We ventured into North Walsham and came across what appears to be one of only 2 or 3 restaurants there.

We did not order starters, instead going for main courses. Between the 4 of us we had chicken tikka masala, chicken bhuna, saffron chicken, pilau and mushroom rices, sag paneer and a couple of naans.

The food was very good; tasty and tender and with plenty to go around. Was not particularly expensive, standard prices.

The staff were very attentive and we were never in a need to ask for assistance - it was just there.

Would recommend and would go back.

Now Labone NORTH WALSHAM .......not its Sheringham brother. My wife & I have used this lovely little restaurant for quite a while now, both for takeaways & eating in. Our overall opinion is VERY GOOD.......the only reason we don't go to total excellence is in all honesty on an odd occasion we have had slightly lesser quality food than others, we think possibly down to what we ordered some dishes in other words are definitely better than others......plus the classic its always better eaten in rather than taken away however in fairness they will deliver locally very cheap......& they are always bang on time to when they say it will be delivered
The staff are always very polite mostly young some of them are actually great fun characters & we find very efficient. The toilets the restaurant etc are.very clean, good parking 20 yards away its situation & location handy for the town . WE like this place & after all thought it time we spoke up for it . We would most definitely recommend to everyone. BUT do think before you order....we say try possibly something you are very familiar with the first time you go...for example the meat Madras in my opinion is VERY good & My wife loves the Chicken Dansak ...the peshwari Nans are brill but they do offer quite a range of different dishes but some might not be to your liking.

I've been to this restaurant in previous years when you ordered a la carte and the food was good. But this year we noticed they only seem to do a 30-dish all day buffet for £12. It was a great disappointment mainly because the meat dishes all had thin watery sauces, not the thick rich spicey sauces that we expect meat dishes to be in. The quantities in the serving dishes were very minimal too. It wasn't worth £12 and perhaps explained why we were the only ones in the restaurant. Far better to offer a starter, main dish, side dish and rice or nam for £10 to £12 as is common elsewhere and get proper servings in proper sauces.
