Today we enjoyed our first trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals and found many of them basking, rolling around, swimming and doing other seal-like activities. Temples were wonderful with their experienced crew and we were joined by three excited, well-behaved dogs on our trip. We were taken as close as possible to the seals and our skipper ensured that both sides of the boat had a good view of the seals. It was a wonderful time of the year to take this trip with seal pups being born and all on a gorgeous, sunny day.

We had friends staying with us and decided to do the boat trip, our friends were not sure whether they would see many seals but were most impressed with the number of seals we did see. It was a perfect day to make the trip and one certainly not to be missed. We did the longer trip and were able to walk up to the lifeboat station having been landed at Blakeney Point on the way back. We rated it a not to be missed experience and managed to take many photos of the seals including some with the bobbing up in the water.

We phoned the local pub in Morston to book the trip, and picked our tickets up half an hour before. The quay is only a few hundred yards down a path, where you have to pay (National Trust) to park your car.

The trip was full of eager seal watchers, and a few dogs. The timings are tide dependent, so check on their website - we ended up doing a 1 hour morning trip (£9 each) which involved sailing out to Blakeney point, and seeing plenty of seals both in the sea and lounging around on the beach.

We were surprised at both how many seals there were, and how close we managed to get!

The Captain and his assistant (plus dogs) were all very friendly, and everyone on the boat had a great time. Heartily recommended!

We decided we wanted to do a seal trip the only question was who should we do it with.
We decide to go with temples, because you could get off at the point and have a walk for an hour and then catch the boat back, this was ideal for us as we have two little dogs ( who traveled for free ) We booked a 4pm trip, and out of all the company's offering boat trips we were the last to leave, and the boat was very crowded, when we got to the seals the boat made a couple of passes so we did get a good look at the seals. (Most the other competitors just made one pass at the seals)
It would have been a lot better trip if they had not put so many people one the one boat. Having said that all there competitors boats looked over crowded as well.
Also watch out, no one tells you, that on top of the cost of your tickets, when you park your car there is an additional £3.50 to pay for parking

Lovely trip with friends to see the seals at Blakeney Point with Temples boats. Called into the Anchor to collect our tickets and stayed for Sunday roast lunch.
