I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the beginning. That was my 5th visit, and my second this year. I think very highly of this hotel. The rooms are spread out around the grounds, giving a very spacious feel. As a birder, I was delighted with the resident cuckoo when I stayed in May - could there be a nicer way to wake up than to the call of this eponymous bird?
On the whole, rooms are satisfactory, some more spacious than others, so a bit of a lottery (as with most hotels).
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring this wonderful coastline and its wildlife. The nearest Coasthopper bus stop
Is about 400 yards away, opposite the Post Office. However, I discovered that the bus will drop you off directly outside the hotel if you ask the driver nicely, and you can also pick it up there.
My one issue would be that many of the staff seem inexperienced. I was not able to get any help with a query about Blakeney boat trips, the person I asked said he had never heard of it(!). This was reflected to a certain extent in the service in the restaurant. Having said that, the food is excellent, and I would highly recommend the breakfast and dinner option.
I look forward to returning.

Thank you for your review, guests returning to us on regular occasions is one of the most promising signs that we are doing something right.
I was a little perturbed by the response you received regarding the boat trips and apologise for this, normally, being local boys and girls, the staff are very switched on to local events and amenities and are aware to always ask a supervisor if unsure so we will look at ensuring this is an unique occasion.
We hope to welcome you back many more times over the coming years.

We booked two rooms for single occupancy and were allocated identical rooms next to each other which was ideal. The rooms were spacious , spotless and had everything we needed. Our stay of 4 nights was a real pleasure. The staff were all very friendly but special mention must be made of those in the restaurant. Their attention to detail is excellent from taking the orders in the bar , escorting you to your table, serving the different courses to checking everything was ok. Whilst being professional they were able to show friendliness and humour too. The food served was delicious and always looked beautiful and with specials also offered each night we were spoiled for choice and the portion sizes just right. The hotel is ideally sited for visiting the lovely beach at Old Hunstanton and the bus stop outside for the coast hopper bus made travelling to Hunstanton or further afield easy. There was just one small issue - housekeeping was not always consistent with a bin not emptied one day, the hospitality tray not replenished another and a towel left hanging behind the door by a previous occupant not noticed. These issues were so small we did not worry but when everything else is perfect they are noticed.

Room Tip: Having stayed here twice in different areas I think all the rooms are excellent. If you have mobilit...

Thank you Kate S for your lovely review. The particularly pleasing mention of the staff is always a hugely satisfying thing to hear. We are blessed with enthusiastic and hard working employees who we take a lot of pride in, the fact that they are all locally based is also a huge plus and being so close to each other this appears to radiate to our guests.
With regards to the housekeeping issues i have passed on the comments to our head housekeeper to has since taken actions to ensure such mistakes shall not occur again so thank you for bringing them to our attention.
We look forward to your third visit.

This is a lovely hotel, with lots of separated areas of rooms. I imagine it might have originally been an old farm with stables but not sure. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was good, but we didn't eat an evening meal there. I would certainly recommend this place. My only slightly down comment would be, it's quite a long walk into Hunstanton, but we like to walk so it was fine for us. Plus you can walk down to the beach from the hotel which was only a 10 minute stroll

Many thanks for leaving us a review here on tripadvisor, we are very pleased to note the compliments towards the staff and once again state just how proud we are of them.
The constructive comments you have made alluding to the room is very important to us as it gives us an opportunity to act upon them and resolve all the "niggly" little issues that can sometimes be overlooked when not seen through a new pair of eyes so thank you for bringing these to our attention.
We hope to see you again in the future and please keep checking our website for exclusive special offers.

We stayed for 2 nights to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. She loved it, the food was excellent as were the staff.
The room was a little dissapointing as it appeared a little tired in parts and despite being for 3 people it only had 2 chairs. The first time I stayed at the hotel the room was excellent so I think we were unlucky this time. However the room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable and attractively dressed.. The curtains are a little short for the windows which looked a bit odd and the pictures need to enhance thr room which they did not. There just needs to be an update and refresh and the room will be fine.A very large bathroom was good.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room as ours was a standard room and although comfortable was a little tired in p...

Stayed here as a family of four for Friday and Saturday night. From the welcome to checkout we encountered nothing but great and friendly service. The food was great and plenty of choice for our little ones, as previously mentioned there are a number of areas for the children to play and we were told by the man at the desk to visit farmer Fred's down the road which was incredibly good fun for all. Thank you to all at Caley Hall.

Thank you for a wonderful review, it is nice to see that families feel welcomed and accommodated for. We are in a lovely part of the country with lots to do in the surrounding areas for children as well as adults. We are glad that you took the advice with regards to Farmer Freds, it is a wonderful facility for children and parents to go for a great day out.

We had 3 girls in our party aged 8, 8 and 5. This attractive hotel is child friendly. There are several pleasant courtyards/patio areas and the well equipped Wendy house was much appreciated. Premeal drinks and ordering in the comfortable lounge/bar was also good for the kids - there were plenty of Board games and some toys. 15 minute walk to sandy beach (also has a car park and facilities nearby) with shallow gently sloping sea. Good restaurant. This was our second visit. Snettisham Park big hit - hands on feeding of the orphan lambs and the deer herds.

Room Tip: There are family suites with a single front door which is very useful

Last year we had such an enjoyable stay at Caley Hall with our rambling group that everyone wanted to return this year. We were a bit worried as we thought it couldn't be as good as last year but it certainly was! This year 27 of us had an excellent stay of 5 nights with superb food and accommodation. The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was really enjoyable with so much choice whether you wanted hot or cold food. The evening meals, as per last year, were excellent. Two of our group had special dietary needs and these were adequately catered for by the hotel. The area is excellent for walking and the hotel is a great centre for this - two of our walks started from there. We were able to walk in the morning and had the afternoon free to visit the many places of interest in the surrounding area. Thank you Caley Hall for another wonderful stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a downstairs room if you have mobility problems.
