I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the beginning. That was my 5th visit, and my second this year. I think very highly of this hotel. The rooms are spread out around the grounds, giving a very spacious feel. As a birder, I was delighted with the resident cuckoo when I stayed in May - could there be a nicer way to wake up than to the call of this eponymous bird?
On the whole, rooms are satisfactory, some more spacious than others, so a bit of a lottery (as with most hotels).
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring this wonderful coastline and its wildlife. The nearest Coasthopper bus stop
Is about 400 yards away, opposite the Post Office. However, I discovered that the bus will drop you off directly outside the hotel if you ask the driver nicely, and you can also pick it up there.
My one issue would be that many of the staff seem inexperienced. I was not able to get any help with a query about Blakeney boat trips, the person I asked said he had never heard of it(!). This was reflected to a certain extent in the service in the restaurant. Having said that, the food is excellent, and I would highly recommend the breakfast and dinner option.
I look forward to returning.
