We had a very nice room with sea view, with a really good shower room. But the stairs were a problem as no lift. We went out for breakfast as I didn't want to eat in the bar. The Hotel is in a prime location in Hunstanton.

Room Tip: a lower floor if you don't do stairs.

Stayed in room 4 on 31st August. Room was a good size and very clean. En-suite looked new. Lovely shower with great water pressure. Didn't eat in the steak and Stilton restaurant but had a meal, and breakfast in the pub on the ground floor.. Both were cooked to perfection and very tasty. Our dog was also made very welcome. Excellent staff who were very helpful and polite during our stay. Will definately book again in the future.

We stayed at the Marine for 2 nights, the 15th and 16th August. We were in Room 1 Samphire, which is a twin room at the rear back corner of the hotel.
The room was small, clean and tidy but very hot. We couldn't open the main side window as it was jammed, so had to open the windows overlooking the rear of the hotel so we could get some air in the room.
The main problem with having those windows open was that we were directly above the kitchens, so we had to suffer all the cooking smells ! Not only that, the staff used that area to go and have a smoke and a chat. This was either very late at night or very early in the morning when sound travels as it's very quiet then.
We had a full english breakfast in the hotel on one of the days, which was lukewarm and quite greasy. We didn't eat there again, but went to a cafe round the corner instead.
Although clean and tidy, a lot could be done to improve this ideally located hotel.

Room Tip: We would certainly suggest to anyone contemplating staying there to ensure they had a room at the fr...

Located right in the centre of Hunstanton - with sea views too!

Stayed on a Sunday night in the middle of August - booked last minute, £60 for a double room, breakfast available in the downstairs Marine Bar for £3.95. The hotel has a car park which was a bonus, but it's small so suspect you might struggle if the hotel is full.

The room - Room 2 - faces the road, so we did get a sea view which was nice. Fair size, looked to be pretty recently renovated. Comfortable bed, appropriate furnishings (desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc) and a small flat screen TV on the wall. En-suite shower room also a good size and fixtures all looked really new.

Staff were nice, all seemed very hardworking, especially manager Rachel who seemed omnipresent!

In summary, great value for money, great location for a night in Hunstanton, would recommend

Room Tip: Room 2 - whilst it has a sea view also has 3 flagpoles outside it - so we were a bit disturbed by t...

This review is about the bar and food, not the actual hotel.

I ate and drank here a couple of times with three family members (including a seven year old), both times during midweek lunchtimes. Food was superior quality pub fare. I particularly enjoyed the Mexican chicken.

The outdoor seating area is rather pleasant when the sun is shining, although be warned that some of the outdoor tables are on somewhat wobbly legs - hang on to your drinks (or drink fast!).

Stayed for one night with my son after a day birdwatching on the east coast, got to the Hotel at around 6pm, shown up to a neat but comfortable room, very tidy, nice bathroom etc.
Just the job for a one night stopover

Room Tip: ask for a room near the top as you are more likely to get a sea view

My partner and I stopped for a meal I had a beef salad which was very nice with three large slices of beef and a large fresh salad. My partner had scampi and chips which was also very nice. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. Certainly better value than some of the restaurants we ate at.
