Ideally appointed, cosy, comfortable, exceptionally clean accommodation. We did not want to leave and we all want to return again next year. Thank you!
We have just spent 3 nights in the Old Paul Pry. It is a wonderful Grade II Listed cottage right in the centre of Holt. The cottage is very tastefully furnished with 3 lovely bathrooms and a separate downstairs toilet. Although the cottage sleeps 8, the lounge is quite small so I would say that it would be more suitable for 6. The stairs are extremely steep too so it isn't suitable for the less mobile. My husband is 6'4" which was a bit of an issue with some of the low doorways and the beds (nothing he isn't used to!) You also have use of the Folly Tea Rooms garden which would be nice in the warmer months. I would definitely recommend staying here - in fact we are going back for another short break in April.
Great location for exploring Norfolk costal towns like Blakeney etc, accommodation was in a good central spot for pubs and cafes etc. Friendly owner with a well maintained and super house, Elderly folk would possibly struggle with the quirky stairs although my 88 year old father managed fine..
We rented The Old Paul Pry for a family wedding close by. There were seven in our party including three ladies who had to "get ready" at the same time so the three full bathrooms worked out very well! The accommodation was extremely comfortable and right in the centre of Holt so easy access to all restaurants, pubs, shops and tearooms. Given the nature of cell phone coverage in rural Norfolk, I would also highlight the quality and bandwidth of the wifi in the house. We had no issues at all with up to seven devices in use at the same time! We did not use the kitchen facilities, but it is well stocked and with a nice dining room. The only "watchout", but is expected for old houses, is for the very tall. Our 6'7"'er had to watch carefully that he did not bang his head, especially on the doorways into the lounge and dining room. I would not hesitate to recommend The Old Paul Pry, along with The Folley Tearoom where we had a dlightful afternoon tea.
We booked the Old Priory for our Parents wedding anniversary and birthdays. There was 9 of us staying there (including 2 children). It was perfect for us, all of the rooms are lovely and have plenty of space. The lounge was cozy and relaxing, dining room was lovely for our family meals. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery and utensils. It is also in an ideal location in Holt, although parking was a problem occasionally.
We all had an extremely enjoyable time and would definitely consider returning.
Thank you very much.
