I arrived with my daughter after a long drive , the car park was just behind the cottage, very easy to find, just a 2 min walk to the cottage, we collected the keys from the folly tea room, what an absolute beautiful gem of a place, the court yard garden is small but exquisite , the variety of tea was mind blowing, and the cakes on display were so beautifully made and displayed , and tasted even better !!! The cottage was spacious , and cosy , we had a slight
Problem with the heating the first night , I texted the owner and it was put right immediately ,
The beds were very comfy and the bathrooms were very well appointed and everywhere was very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped and you could easily cater for a large party ,
And the location is perfect , right in the middle of the high street, just perfect position.
It's a wonderful base to explore north Norfolk,. I would totally recommend the cottage . We had a lovely stay.

Fantastic base for a get together
I booked this as I wanted to be in Holt as we had a wedding in Norwich and a school
open day to attend in the area, plus it was my daughter's birthday and she desperately wanted to visit the coast. My parents and sister wanted to come too, so it needed to tick lots of boxes - location, size and flexibility. We didn't arrive until 10pm ish but this was no trouble and we were greeted warmly.
The house itself is lovely, very well furnished and clean. The kitchen has everything you need, and to my mum's delight, 'proper' porcelain crockery (she hates heavy mugs!!). Three bathrooms were more than adequate.
The stairs are steep but manageable. There was kindling etc supplied for the wood burner plus cleaning products, loo roll, tea towels etc
The outside space worked well for us - the tea room was shut on the Sunday meaning we had the garden to ourselves. (The folly tea room is well worth popping in to anyway).
The location was ideal - right in the thick of it - Holt is a thriving market town - and parking as described is just yards away. Be careful - the traffic warden is on the ball - we went out at 8.30 one morning and had a ticket (charging starts at 8) -completely our fault for being too lazy to nip out the night before!
I would definitely recommend this to others - we plan to return as it's such a fabulous house in a super location and great value for money.
We had a get together, a large group for an activity based weekend, this place was perfect. Had everything you might need, have stayed in lots of places, where the first thing you do is go to the shop to get what you do not have. This place had everything, a really lovely place, lovingly restored with furnishings to suit any Cath Kidson Lover!
Thoroughly impressed, with everything so nearby.
Would thoroughly recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was just perfect. Beautifully furnished with all the mod cons. Very spacious over 3 floors. I would recommend this to anyone, perfectly located just off the High Street. Owner made us feel most welcome and a visit to the Folly Tea Rooms is a must. All though not far from where we live we will definitely be returning.

Seven of us stayed at The Old Paul Pry for the weekend and had a brilliant time. The cottage, though small but perfectly formed, was a real treat. We had ample accommodation which was of high standard and we wanted for nothing. The central position in the town made for excellent and convenient shopping, although it was difficult at times to leave the warm and cosy sitting room with the log burner! Only disappointment - only three of us managed to had tea in the Folly Tea Rooms as it looked scrumptious.
