We had a meal for four at the pubs resturant 'Steak', Although there was only one portion of prawns left to share between four it was well worth the order. The main courses were stacked high with good quality well cooked meat, cooked in either 'The smoker' the grill or oven, the meat fell off the bones and unlike many other resturant sides the salad was fresh and perfectly crisp. However the thing that gives 'steak' its very good status has to be the service. Staff are friendly and even better a laugh. We were seated and with drinks all in very good time, and our glasses were never empty. Children are encourage to be themselves and make noise but if taking families this would be the ideal environment.

Very resonablly priced and worth a visit if you enjoy your meat serviced with a friendly smile.

Stopped in at the Kings Head today for sunday lunch and ordered 3 homemade burger and chips. Chips were the only good thing. The burgers were so dry as a result of being overcooked, And just tasted burnt!! The salad was old and brown and the coleslaw had to much herbs in it . Also ordered 2 lasagne and chips and again the lasagne was so overcooked and dry as a result of being burnt.. Was very disapointed as i am a chef but I did'nt want to complain as it was a family birthday meal. I have eaten here before in the pass and it was much better then. maybe there is new kitchen staff now, but wont be eating here again as the result of today!!.

We often eat here and I must honestly hand on heart say that the service and food has been above par every time. The portions are very large, the food of a consistently high quality and with a fair range of starter and main dishes on the menu, the dessert choices is not as great but the sundaes are well worth a try if you enjoy ice cream. As the restaurant name suggests, steak is the best thing on the menu here but their burgers and vegetarian dishes are also excellent.

We would heartily recommend this restaurant although I have to agree with others that there is a hugely different atmosphere between the restaurant the pub, more so than in other local pub-restaurants. The restaurant is modern, warm and welcoming whereas the bar has very loud music and a distinctly 'local' (I only live five miles away and still get looked up and down when I walk in!) feel, if you get my drift. Other than that a fabulous choice for a meal out in North Norfolk.

Whether you're stopping for a quick pint or coffee, a few drinks watching the match, a quick snack or a leisurely meal the Kings Head caters for you.

The bar is relaxed with a great selection of ale, two screens showing sky sports and a pool table. The snug has informal dining / drinking space with open fires and the STEAK restaurant out back has a fabulous relaxed atmosphere and excellent food.

Their food is fantastic with a great selection of "home-cooked" pub classics and excellent steak selection.

Service is always good and the atmosphere is spot-on, whether you're there to watch the football / rugby, relax with friends and a pint or two or enjoy the restaurant.

At time of writing my only gripe is the continued issues with their wifi, which has now been "down" for about a month. Sort the wifi and I'll give you a 5 for the next review.

*Note we did not stay here - just had lunch*

Having been here a number of times it is safe to say it is rather good. The BBQ/steak house restaurant is fun, rustic and buzzing - even when quiet. The staff are always friendly (that goes for the bar staff too) and the food is delicious, especially the burgers. Generous portions, fab coleslaw and lots of choice. Will return!
