“A Lovely Meal For Two”
Reviewed May 25, 2014 via mobile

Went to Fayre View for a birthday meal and had an absolutely wonderful evening out. The food was wonderfully cooked, of excellent quality and beautifully presented. The tables are well placed (not too close together) and ours was situated off to one side so was very private. Prices are very reasonable esp for the quality and the portion sizes is perfect for a 3 course menu. Already looking forward to going back.

“Simply OUTSTANDING!”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

This little gem is nestled away in the delightful market town of Diss in Norfolk and was recommended to us by a nearby guest house owner. Having come to realise that Norfolk food is pretty special, we were blown away the fantastic experience we had at Fayreview. The menu is simple, but changed almost daily and boasts a selection of locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, offered for a set price of £21.95 for three courses! The food we selected was unbelievably delicious. I chose char-grilled asparagus wrapped in pancetta with a soft boiled egg. My husband had chilli beef with noodles and wasabi mayonnaise. For main course we both opted for the fillet of beef, served with king prawns and fresh vegetables. However, there were also several other tempting options such as guinea fowl supreme or duck. For dessert I chose the cherry and chocolate brownie (which I swear was made by Angels, it was so dreamy and light!) served with rocky road ice cream. My husband had pecan and maple cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. The chef (and owner) is a pure artist. He knows exactly how to put flavours and textures together that create an exquisite dining experience. We could not fault this restaurant. The service was fantastic, the staff attentive and professional. Our only issue is that we live 130 miles away! Otherwise, we'd be there every week!

“Loving the big round table”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

Nine of us went for a meal for a leaving do and were sat at a lovely big round table. The food was absolutely delicious. You could choose two or three courses. Nothing was too much trouble especially when we asked for more bread rolls and more delicious vegetables. The venue really made our night and I, for one, cannot wait to go again.

“Best restaurant for miles around.”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

Excellent food, beautifully presented and intelligently priced. A meal here is an occasion whether you are with friends, family or as a couple.
The ambience is great and the service prompt, reliable and friendly.
My only complaint is that you can't eat here spontaneously! Too many others have the same idea...
