This little gem is nestled away in the delightful market town of Diss in Norfolk and was recommended to us by a nearby guest house owner. Having come to realise that Norfolk food is pretty special, we were blown away the fantastic experience we had at Fayreview. The menu is simple, but changed almost daily and boasts a selection of locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients, offered for a set price of £21.95 for three courses! The food we selected was unbelievably delicious. I chose char-grilled asparagus wrapped in pancetta with a soft boiled egg. My husband had chilli beef with noodles and wasabi mayonnaise. For main course we both opted for the fillet of beef, served with king prawns and fresh vegetables. However, there were also several other tempting options such as guinea fowl supreme or duck. For dessert I chose the cherry and chocolate brownie (which I swear was made by Angels, it was so dreamy and light!) served with rocky road ice cream. My husband had pecan and maple cheesecake with vanilla ice cream. The chef (and owner) is a pure artist. He knows exactly how to put flavours and textures together that create an exquisite dining experience. We could not fault this restaurant. The service was fantastic, the staff attentive and professional. Our only issue is that we live 130 miles away! Otherwise, we'd be there every week!
