Staying near Diss for a weekend trip up from London - was recommended Weavers by a local as 'the best restaurant in the area' - and we certainly weren't dissapointed!
Upon arrival we were greeted warmly, offered drinks and nibbles and perched at the bar whilst we surveyed the menu. the restaurant was packed and the atmosphere amazing. We were shown to our tabe (a lovely little booth in the corner by the window) and things only got better from there. The service was perfect, our waitress was incredibly attentive and ensured we had a wonderful experience (Katrina, I think her name was - the perfect hostess!)
The menu was extensive and had something for everyone - and also very reasonably priced. I had the crab pannacotta follwed by the salmon, which were both sublime. Fine (but not pretentious) dining, but none of the miniscule portions that you experince in so many restaurants - great sized portions of fantastic food. What could be better?
The wine list was very accessible and well priced - went for a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which was delicious.
All in all the whole experience was perfect - food, wine, atmosphere and service all wonderful. Will definitely be back!
Well done Weavers!
