Description: The Acle Bridge Inn has stood by the waters of the River Bure for many hundreds of years serving sailors, smugglers, travellers and locals. Everyone gets a genuinely warm welcome and special diets are happily catered to at this hospitable family run inn. "A relaxed, hospitable inn serving good, honest home-cooked food, fairly priced. Family friendly and open all day every day, with a beer garden and children's play area" Mooring outside and nearby for 40 boats with some electric hook-up available

We stayed in Hickling, but we really couldn't find anything decent open on a Monday night. However about 20 minutes drive away was The Bridge Inn situated in Acle. Thank god !

We pulled up and the pub look impressive all lite up like a christmas tree and plenty of other cars in the car park, which in my opinion is a good sign. We ordered the Lasagne and Steak and Ale pie. The portions were huge, food tasty and brilliant value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming and look after everyone in the restuarant very well.

We was here late one Monday evening in March, however we did notice outside plently of entertainment for the kids. Which included a hugh wooden boat and what looked like a go kart track !!!....so I can imagine this being a bit hit with the families in the summer.

The pub area had a warm atmosphere especially with the lovely open fire. Service was friendly and prompt. Very appetising menu with pub classics and some more interesting dishes.
Food arrived in very good time. Layout gave plenty of space as well good atmosphere.

Food was great quality but left space for improvement (would have been nice to have chunky chips instead of fries, mint with peas, less mustard in mash).

Overall a lovely evening out. I would definitely recommend.

We have been staying in Acle for years and have always eaten in Yarmouth but we asked if there was anywhere local and this was recommended. The food was delicious, the atmosphere friendly and the service excellent. We will definitely be eating at the bridge in future it was excellent value for money and really lovely.
