We had a fantastic time at the hotel at our daughters wedding.
Laura, Michael, Jeff and I would like to send our sincere thanks to all the staff of the hotel for a fabulous day on Friday 3rd September, our guests will certainly remember the day and have all commented about the hotel, surroundings and the friendliness of the staff.
Special thanks must go to Tony who dealt with both the daytime and night time with professionalism and patients. Also the lady with glasses who assisted with the top table (sorry we can’t remember her name), she was excellent and nothing was a bother to her. Many thanks also go to Nicola who at the end of the day managed to sort out the final arrangements and also Claire in your reservations who rang me to make sure that all our guests were book in correctly.
We would recommend this venue to our family and friend for future events, once again a big thank you from all of us, it is certainly a wedding that everyone is talking about and will also remember for a lot years to come!.

We read Trip Advisor (TA) before leaving home, there was no middle review, it was either very good or very bad, so with these reviews we arrived possibly fearing the worst but the first gain was, we were given a family room which was excellent. We did have a couple of challenges but they were rectified at once.
The service everywhere was excellent & the food was also very good. The grounds are well kept & we had a good walk round the Hotel. We stayed 2 nights & we consider ourselves well travelled but this was one of our best stays for service
The reviews that were very bad, must have stayed somewhere else because if you do encounter challenges, discuss them politely with the staff or Duty Manager & I am sure they will sorted to your satisfaction.
We went to Redcar, Saltburn & Whitby where we had Fish & Chips in Trenchers which was excellent & we travelled back through the North Yorks Moors which has some stunning views. Well worth a visit to this Hotel & area. Jo & John S

this is a lovely hotel and grounds, we were in a group of ten, all paid same rate, eight were put in deluxe rooms other two just a basic twin which was reasonable clean, but wallpaper was hanging off in quite a few places, and the lighting was very dim,,the main problem was we had travelled for seven hrs to get there only to be told at two thirty rooms were not ready, we had to wait till four oclock before being given our key, complimentry tea and coffee is not what we needed, to relax and freshen up was,,

I booked the stay for our anniversary break/holiday. I got a good deal through Superbreaks and the deal seemed too good to be true. It was 2 nights, 1st night dinner, bed and breakfast and second B&B for £175.12 in total. The pictures of the hotel looked amazing and I wanted somewhere that had a swimming pool and jacuzzi. I had looked at some of the reviews on tripadvisor - some really positive and some really negative. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a spa room which was lovely. The shower and bath were amazing. This was in the new part of the hotel and in a way it did seem a shame not to be in the lovely old building, but as the restaurant was there then we didn't really miss out. The grounds were beautiful. Given the great deal I'd got, I wasn't sure what the dinner would be like but it was fantastic. The food was served quickly (almost too quickly) and was lovely. I had the parfait, fishcake and panacotta and my husband had the prawns, chicken supreme and cheese selection. The food was not only delicious but very nicely presented and the service was fantastic. We were charged £3.50 for the water so when I go again I'd ask for tap water. The pool and changing areas are really nice and the jacuzzi was lovely and warm. Breakfast was just standard, and my husband didn't think much of the coffee. We had a wander into Redworth, and there's not much to see or do (only houses!) but it's a good location for visiting Durham (which we did) and there's plenty more to do so we'd definitely stay again.

We booked a spa weekend through last minute.com and were rung by the spa a few days after booking to tell us they were fully booked but would squeeze us it but at different times in the day. The package included two 20 minute treatments, which were of average quality. I had come to the hotel for a relaxing weekend but the girl doing my treatments spent a good deal of the time chatting about how much she disliked the job!
The pool was average but in need of repair in places.
The hall itself is lovely, our room however was dreadful, and in need of redecoration and a deep clean (mould in the bathroom, cobwebs etc....)
With breakfast served only until 10 am we went down at about 9:15 which should of left us plenty of time to check out by 11am. We spent 30 minutes waiting to get a table and eventually had to give up so we would be able to check out on time!

What should of been a lovely relaxing weekend ended up being a big disappointment.

I went to redworth hall with my husband and two children, 11 & 6, and we had a great time! the staff were helpful and pleasant and treated the the children as paying guests. The swimming pool was brilliant and the children loved the outdoor adventure park. We thought the food was good- bit arty for my husband- but really tasty food. We were suprised with the size of the family room - massive! Can't wait to go again!!!

On arrival it took 1hr15mins for our bags to get to our room. In the room the light switch was damaged exposing electrics, bulb were out all around the hotel especially with picture lights. Breakfast was dire, scrambled eggs were not cooked enough - sausages were cheap, until the second batch came out. Only highlight was the main meal... That was v.nice

Knock a couple of stars off...
