This was our second visit to George's Hall. The food was lovely and the service from the staff was very friendly. We are going again very soon!

“mums birthday visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2014

we have visited here for many occasions and this was on a friday diner time. fairly quite at 12:15 as they had only opened at 12:00, so it was nice to grab the window table!

three of us dined, two had soups for starters and the other chicken wings.
the soups were tomato and included crusty rolls, very nice taste and presentation. the chicken wings were served on a slate plate with a variety of sauces and salad, again lovely taste and presentation.

the mains were two chicken burgers and the other goulash. the chicken burgers were chicken breat fillets, salad, fries, both very nice. the goulash was served with mash potatoes, green beans and creme fraiche. simply fantastic taste would definitely recommend it!

“Another good local restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2014

Had seen the signs and decided to give it a go. Great atmosphere in an old theater although over the years it has been used for many things. No a 'gastro bar' serving really good food. Staff are friendly, ambiance is good with creative decor. Some nights have live music although we have not tried this yet. In a world of 'chain' pizza and pasta outlets, it's great to have somewhere local that has a different and interesting menu of good food. Sensible prices too. Note.......the map on the web site shows an address in nearby Langford !!

“TNT Not another Birthday Nosh”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

It's nice & local so why not & the kids were paying ( kids ha, ones 41 the other 39).
So 5 of us sit down in the modern industrial style interior, bare brick & girders with high ceiling, I like it.
A warm welcome & surprise, Prosecco is half price, so what do have, 2 bottles!
Birthday toast done we order, 2 Garlic Prawns, a Chorizo Starter & Small Sticky Platter, followed by 2 Seabass ( 1 fillet) , Pulled Pork Bun & Small Steak Salad.

These arrive in timely manner, well the prawns are prawns & taste of garlic, the Chorizo Bruschetta was spicy the tomato & peppers very tasty , & the sharing Sticky assortment was moreish especially the tomato & peppers.
The mains arrive, my Pulled Pork Bun was delicious, the japlepenos added just the right bite moistened by a slice of cheese in the middle. The Steak Salad was cooked rare to order with crumbled Blue Cheese & mixed salad beneath another winner. The 2 Sea Bass rounded off the 5 meals again both winners with crisp skin, crushed potatoes beneath & topped with Asparagus & Basil Pesto.
No desserts tonight, a few more drinks after we were joined by a late coming partner ( shame he was working late) a total of £128, not bad for 5 covers of 2 courses & drinks.
Keep it up please.

“OK”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2014

I love this place for drinks, the staff are always lovely, and the venue has been decorated beautifully. I came here a couple of months ago with about 7 others - their meals were all wonderful, generous portions, they all really enjoyed it.
I was however disappointed with mine, I'm a veggie so there wasn't much of a choice, I had the stuffed pasta which was just like something you could get at the supermarket, also it was such a small portion I was still hungry afterwards.. Everyone else had so much on their plates that I was quite annoyed by this..
I will try again when the menu changes to see if it has improved for me, I eat out a lot so I would love to be able to come here for food! It would be fab if you could offer a few lovely veggie options (meat eaters will eat them too) :-)
