I went on the five day hiking trip and was very impressed with every aspect of the trip, the organisation, the great guides, the camp facilities, the food and the equipment. Thanks for showing us the wonderful and mesmerising Svarlbard, some really memorable moments and an opportunity to meet some really great people.

One improvement on this trip would be to leave town a bit earlier rather than leave us in town for a few hours before the start, allowing more time for the trekkingm but only a minor gripe as it allowed time to visit the museum pre trip.

Will be recommending you to anyone who wants to explore Svarlbard.

We spent over two weeks in Norway and of the many attractions, our dog sledding in Longyearbyen ranks at the top of the list. If you are going north of the Arctic Circle you can see the landscape from a bus or boat or you can experience it in a dog sled. The enthusiasm of the dogs was matched by that of our young, knowledgeable guides. We learned all about the lives of the dogs, the history and culture of the area, and the rugged people that live there. After our ride we warmed up in a cozy cabin drinking heated fruit juice around a fire. It was magical. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

I am a frequent traveller and this trip was hands down the MOST amazing thing I have ever done.
I went on the snow mobile tour that goes to the ship in the frozen lake. The trip began with suiting up in snow gear with the help of Mrs Henningsen from the Henningsen family who are local legends in Longyearbyen. Mrs Henningsen made sure we would be warm enough and that everything fit properly, unlike other tour groups that show you to a room full of snowsuits and boots and you're on your own.
The trip itself was incredible and included spectacular scenery through frozen fjords, glaciers, wildlife and the famous Noorderlicht - the ship in the ice - where we stopped for a delicious hot lunch.
Spitsbergen Adventures specialize in small group travel which makes all the difference. Doreen, the tour leader, was able to adjust the driving to the ability of our group rather than taking a standard route. There were only four in our group who were all experienced snow mobile drivers which meant we could get off the beaten track and do some quite technical driving. We saw other groups with up to fifty people which is not the best way to see the arctic.
Online booking was super easy and Thomas was very responsive on email. He got back to me in a few hours of the original booking and answered all my questions promptly.
Doreen, the tour leader, was fantastic. She is a very experienced driver who knows Svalbard extremely well and I knew I was in good hands the whole day.
The tour is not cheap but the experience is unparalleled and is worth it 100x over. You will never forget it.

From initial contact, through suggestions and recommendations, your tour planning, and finally greeting us at Longyearbyen Airport and guiding us in Spitsbergen, we could not have wished for a more professional service. And you're great fun too! We hope to see you again and we highly recommend you. Best wishes from the Furlong family.
