All in all a good experience. Very warm and cosy atmosphere in hotel. But to all you foreigners: Its extreme expensive to stay at hotel in Svalbard. This is not a holiday if you want to save money.
The Ala Carte restaurant was extreme expensive

A great location (although it is hard to be far away from the centre in the small Longyearbyen). Our room had a modern design - simple and pleasant - with a with a cute polar bear above the bed.

Coffee and tea available in the room, and a tv with some international channels. But I assume that if you have travelled this far away the TV is not the most important thing anyway....

In newly built hotels such as this one the bathrooms are always fresh, which I highly appreciate.

One down side: We asked for two separate beds and put apart you get to sleep in a 80 cm wide bed, a bit to small in my opinion.

You eat breakfast in a bar across the street, with an ugly interior design reminding of a night club in the eighties. That aside it was a very good buffet with a wide selection of warm and cold food, even including waffles.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and I think it was perfect for my stay in Longyearbyen. I had booked a single room and got a room with a bunk bed. At first I had my doubts about the bunkbed, but in the end I was quite happy with it since the bottom bed was quite big. Downside is you can't sit in the bed.
Wifi was free but the signal was low at times. The hotel is located on the main street of the town and everything is within walking distance. Breakfast was served at Svalbar across the street and was simple but enough. The hotel has a microwave downstairs and a fridge that guests can use. The room comes with a waterboiler and the bathroom was a decent size. Everything seemed really new.

Room Tip: Ask for the upper floor, the view seems a little more interesting.

Nice clean small hotel with a great and helpful staff. The rooms were not large but just right.
They made our stay successful.
Hope to come back.
We will recommend the hotel to friends going to Svalbard.

The rooms are quite new, simple but comfortable. However the breakfast is at the Svalbar, a bar close to the hotel, so you have to go outside to get your breakfast. The choices for breakfast are small. Not a lot to chose from and no fruit. Expected more for paying almost NOK 2500 per night.

I'll admit that this wasn't our first choice of hotel in Longyearbyen, but I'm happy that we stayed here. Don't be put off by the industrial look of the exterior, it's lovely and warm inside, we had to turn down the thermostat on the radiator. It is very expensive for what is a budget quality hotel, but when you consider the location 78deg North, I suppose that it does explain a lot. There is plenty of free tea and coffee available in the room. Toiletries in the hotel consist of a wall mount soap dispenser, which if you're having a warm soak after being out in the cold all day you can't reach. Thankfully, we'd brought our own.
Boots are taken off at reception, considering the snow and ice on the boots it's understandable, a pair of slippers to walk to the room would be handy, many of the guests left theirs in the boot rack. I just wish that there were proper double beds, not two singles pushed together, which always seem to move apart in the middle of the night.
The hotel is ideally situated on the main street where all the shops are, including the Coop which sells very reasonably priced bottles of wine, duty free. Breakfast is taken in the Svalbar which is located close by, brekfast is ok, the homemade strawberry smoothy was very good.
The airport bus drops you off outside (60NOK single), you will need to carry your bags about 100m to catch the bus back to the airport.
