Located right in the town square of Longyearbyen, and really easy to find once you know to look for the skateboard ramp directly opposite the cafe. Besides the story value of telling friends that you went to the northernmost bakery, cafe and chocolatier in the world, it's actually a wonderfully great place to visit in town. As you step inside, you'll smell the freshly baked breads and pastries, and freshly ground coffee. There a several savoury meals on offer too, with a variety of sandwiches and pizzas available. Without doubt, our favourite treat was the glazed cinnamon scrolls, and be sure to ask for it to be served warm. The chocolates were very cute, and a nice gift for those back home... taking full advantage of the polar bears in the region.
As a testament to the quality of the cafe, we noticed that many locals dropped in for lunch. The walls were filled with many beautiful wildlife photographs, many of which could be bought from the gallery.
Overall, great little cafe in a cute little town!
