We arrived late at night from the ferry and found this beautiful old building, nicely restored. It was lit up and very welcoming. The man who owns the hotel greeted is and instantly we knew it was the place we would stay. The breakfast was abundant and so was the hospitality. This man clearly loves what he does and it shows. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed in room 20 in Oct 2013. Hotel has a great location, just tucked back from the busy port front street, but still with views of the port (and the sunset) from the balcony. I describe the hotel as 'faded grandeur' - built in the 20's, lots of antique furniture, and plenty of space in the common areas. Good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, quite good room size, quiet location. However, my twin bed was hard and narrow, and I had a terrible time sleeping in it. And the bathroom was claustrophobically small and cramped. My friend had no problem with the bed, but agreed with me on the bathroom. Also, it was not spotlessly clean. The important things were clean - bathroom and sheets, but there was a layer of dust on some of the ledges on the furniture, and bird poop on the balcony that was not cleaned up til our second day.

Just came back from Thinion hotel, in Tinos, and I am enchanted!!! This place is a jewel! A classy old building, which is renovated and has all the modern amenities, but still keeping its marvellous spirit! People who renovated this building did a great job! The furniture is also renovated and has that antique look! Very clean and comfortable. Really stylish and charming interior.
The landlord is a very nice man, very helpful, hospitable and friendly, just makes you feel at home and get the most of your stay in Tinos. His advices were very useful for us.
Location is perfect - near the old port, at the coast street - so one can enjoy the lovely sea view and sunsets from the balcony of the hotel, as we did.
The room was very comfortable and clean. There is free WiFi.
Breakfast was tasty and diverse, served in a dining-saloon with an old piano, again - dipping in the spirit of that hotel was amazing.
I am definitely in love with that hotel and would love to go back!
Would recommend it to people who appreciate buildings with spirit and style, as well as those looking for excellenr service and prime location.

Room Tip: We enjoyed a sea view room on the 2nd floor.

Tinion is in a more than 100 years old building. The ceilings are high, the entrance smells of great old times. The rooms are very good, but not modern in any way. Our room had a large terrace with a great view over the old port. Breakfast was served in a lovely old room with high ceilings (must be 5 m.). The landlord was very helpful in recommending places to eat, and what we should see. When rating this hotel it is only a matter of expectations wether you give a 4* or 5*. I thing "very good" is very good, "Excellent" should be far above expectations.
This was my first visit to Tinos, and I have to say it was a very positive meeting. Tinos does not stand behind any other Greek island, except maybe in the party scene.

We stayed at Tinion Hotel 16th June 2012

We were on our way from Andros to Naxos or was it Paros and needed to change ferries but due to the weather the high speed ferries were not sailing, so we went looking for a hotel and happened on Tinion Hotel, we got 2 rooms for us and the 2 girls 1st floor at the front of the hotel with balcony and a view of the harbor, the rooms were excellent, breakfast was not bad all in very good for the price.

Next day still to windy for the ferry so we found that the hotel also had rental cars, so off we went exploring for the day.

We would have stayed longer but a ferry was coming so we quickly left for Syros which had better ferry connections.

Tinos was a pleasant experience made better by a nice traditional hotel.

Spent a very pleasant 4 nights here. Well run efficient hotel, good value car hire available and transport provided to and from the ferry dock. The hotel is convenient for Tinos town but in a very quiet position. Breakfast was relaxed and served on the front terrace. The hotel has a rather old world charm, upper floor rooms have lovely views of the port. We have stayed here 3 times over the last few years and always enjoyed our visits.
