“Excellent location, service needs improvement”
Reviewed August 29, 2012

Good food, at a very good location, by the sea inside Tinos town. Amateurish service. One of the best choice for Italian food in Tinos.

“A cut above”
Reviewed August 2, 2012 via mobile

As mentioned, one of the treats of Tinos in the evening is promenading along the port without interference from cars. There are probably a dozen or more tavernas and restaurants one can choose and most are good to pretty good but Pranzo has three aspects which make it a cut above the rest.
First, it serves Italian recipes with local ingredients. This is not meant to disparage the local cuisine. I love Tinian sausage! But every once in awhile it s nice to see a menu with something else besides rooster in a pot or moussaka. Second, the service is excellent, happy and efficient and not pushy or hurried. A most importantly, it's delicious. I had something they called 'chicken pacifico' which was strips of grilled chicken in a mango, fig and pepper sauce. We also had a mushroom risotto and two different pizzas.
We had fantasric meals in tavernas in villages all around Tinos but those three unique characteristics made the meals at Pranzo stand out in my memory.

“High quality food”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

Thanks to the fact the the port road closes for cars from 21:00 to 00:00 you can enjoy you meal to this "above median" italian restaurant. This is the only italian restaurant of the island, which together with the fact that food is of high standards, makes it difficult to find a table during dinner time. Although the menu is quite big, there are a lot of very good choices. We had a prosciutto- mozzarella-sundried figs starter which was very good for opening the night! Pasta pesto with salmon and spaghetti picante were really tasteful. Portions are quite big and house wine is very good. Prices could have been a bit lower as Tinos is not a very touristic and expensive island overall but in any way I suggest it with no doubt and we'll be back!
