Very big hotel very nice infrastructures nice position beach in front but needs renovation in all it's places including rooms& especially rooms
Should improve also breakfast
It says it provides shuttle bus to pick you up from and to the port when I asked for it they told me that their bus it's too big to come to the port if it's just for groups they should mention it.
Hotel stuff correct but nothing more, reception better to avoid eating when talking to customers (that's happened to me)
No internet connection in the rooms
TV only greek & was not functioning properly

Dear guest,

Thank you for taking time to tell people about your stay in Tinos Beach Hotel in September 2013. We would like to mention a few points that have drown our attention.

In Tinos Beach Hotel we want to get even better every year, not only on our service level but on our given infrastructures as well. So, like every hotel in Cyclades, we make renovations according to our needs and capabilities. The rooms are one of the most vital points that we will be renovated and mostly upgraded in the coming season along with other provided services.

The Shuttle Bus is available every time a ship arrives or departs from the port of Tinos. All the guests even if they are not in groups can use the bus to go from the port to the hotel and vise versa. The bus can also be used for special occasions like wedding parties or birth parties when large group of people have to go to a destination and back.

High speed internet is provided for free in all public places like the snack bar, the lobby, the living room and the pool. The guest can use it at any time, provided that they have their own device like Smartphone, laptop or tablet soon internet will be available in the rooms as well.

Last but not least, hotel staff is not allowed to eat while working. The hotel provides special staff restaurant where they can eat or drink during their shift. We are sure that the incident occurred during your stay is due to a special occasion or because of increasing work and lack of time to use the provided staff restaurant. In any case we apologize for the inconvenience.

Thank you for choosing our hotel in Tinos and we hope to see you again soon in the coming season

I stayed at Tinos Beach during the first week of August with my wife and two kids and it was an overall very pleasant experience!

Great location in front of a wonderful sandy beach that remains fairly calm even when the bags of Aeolus breaks loose (Tinos is probably the windiest Greek island), child-friendly (great playground and lawn). The buffets may be limited in variety, but the quality is delicious (top-notch local specialties, no run-of-the-mill bland hotel food). For example, the pizza served at the lunch buffet was hand-made and the tomato used was fresh. Another plus is the very friendly service, visitors are treated with respect!

The only negative I can think of was the very stiff mattresses - hopefully they will be replaced by softer ones!

PS - yes, this hotel was built in the 70s, and the architecture may appear dated. But even so, the architecture was quite innovative for its time as it incorporates aspects of local architecture such as the traditional pigeon holes on walls. It is far from being a bleak cement block, as other 70s hotels. It is well maintained, and there is nothing 70ish with the elegant Ammos restaurant!

We stayed at this hotel because of a ceremony we needed to attend at Megalochari. The hotel is very old. Sometimes you think Georgitsis or Konstantaras will pop up from a corner. Breakfast is decent. Bread quality could be better.
The most serious issue is that the hotel does not forbid smoking. A smoker from the room next to ours smoked on his toilet and the smoke passed into our room. Reception guy did not solve our problem.
The landscape is perfect and next to a beach.
Generally was ok but I believe there are better places to stay...

Always in a review I consider the price vs quality aspect of things. Therefore, I cannot have high expectations or expecting luxury when the double room I had in Tinos beach hotel costed me 43 euros per night with breakfast inclusive.
In more detail:
Tinos beach hotel is located in Kionia, in a central part of the island.
The room was big enough but due to old furnitures and the not so clean carpet you had the impression that it wasn’t so clean. The room had fridge but no safe. The wireless internet connection was quite poor. However, the weakest point was the noise coming from the outside. Unfortunatly the premises are quite old and the soundproofing equal to nothing.
The bathroom was decent and clean. However, the wooden surface above the washbasin made the use of it very hard. Also, the hotel does not provide soap or liquid shampoo/bath gel in the rooms. Instead, they have some type of foam for the hands, or even shampooing!
The breakfast was a typical buffet with enough variety but at the same time it was lacking fresh fruits. The staff of the hotel (bar, restaurant, reception desk) was polite and helpful.
The swimming pool was clean and substantially sized.
Overall, Tinos beach hotel is a value for money hotel, and as such please approach it with low expectations.

Rooms are comfortable, staff are polite, areas are kept clean and well organized, including pool area and bus transfer to Tinos town. A point for improvement I have seen is the breakfast served that is lacking in variety of served fruits, no muesli is offered, served coffee could be better, etc

I stayed there for 4 nights (aka 5 days) and in the two final days two problems were created that were . First of all, the official site of the hotel shows that one can book their tickets from a specific agent placed in Agia Paraskeuh with whom they co-operate. I booked the tickets over the phone and I specified to the employee the dates which were the same as the ones i had previously booked for the hotel. The agent got the returning dates wrong and I only noticed it too late. As I pointed that mistake to the hotel's manager, he insisted that the mistake was all mine since I HAD TO check the tickets and I shouldn't have trusted the employee. He only agreed to give the tickets' value back only after I showed my frustration towards his insistence that the mistake was none's fault other than mine. I find that behavior to be extremely rude and annoying especially towards clients that have been visiting the hotel for almost five years now! The other problem that i encountered was that of the price of the half board supplement. The price of my room included only breakfast and I chose to eat at the hotel's restaurant called AMMOS. When i went there the first day to eat (29/7/13) I was informed that i could choose to eat from a buffet at the price of 12 euros per person. On August 1, when I visited the restaurant again to eat, after i had already chosen to eat from the buffet (which by the way was extremely poor and was mainly comprised of salads and only one type of meat) and after i had already dinned, i was informed that the price had changed to 18 euros per person! There was no sign and no prior information as to that change and to make matters worse the day that the price was increased by 50% coincided with the day the ValueAdded-tax was decreased by 10% (it was decreased from 23% to 13%), meaning that the hotel was greedy enough and wanted to raise its profit by 60% more than the previous two months!
