We had a fantastic 10 days at Arminda hotel. The hotel manager Andreas went out of his way on several occasions to ensure we were all enjoying the holiday. There were no family rooms available when we booked but day 2 he moved us to one that was now free. He organised car hire, drew us maps and recommended where to go including a restaurant where we had the best meal we've ever had - Galini (def recommend a night out here). The rest of the time we ate in the hotel and food was fine. Omelettes cooked to order by a very friendly chef morning and range of choices for lunch and evening - soemthing for everyone. The kids club had varied activities inc a trip to beach, mini olympics and craft from T shirt making to clay modelling and entertainment team always ahd a smile.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the pool which was lovely.

Fantastic holiday!

Late review sorry! We went may 2011

Family of 5 2 ad 3child age 12,11,8

First choice holiday, no hiccups on the way or on our return!

Hotel- clean hotel beds made daily and changed every other day! I left lap top cameras money lying around and nothing was touched!

Pools-two pools one large pool were they do day aqua aerobics and a Dailey dance!

The animation team were fantastic!! They did darts completions along with table tennis ect not much on the evening entertainment. They do a kids dance after evening dinner which is lovely! They have a bar on the roof! Which has amazing views!!

Drinks-larger is nice but it does only offer local spirits which isn't up to much, only thing I could really moan about.

Beach- beach is lovely, but very very hot on your feet. There is no al bar at the beach! Only for the hotel next door nana beach. That hotel looks great if you wanted to be entertained more! We like to smaller more friendlier hotels.

Food- food was great always somethink different to choose from.

The snack bar was fab!! Which is up by the small pool which is very popular and we all fought over beds ha ha the bar lady was so lovely!! The birds will come and eat from your hand if you sit quite enough. The snacks was great pizza chips salads burgers panni maker ect

The back of the snak bar is a children's play area well shelters from the sun and a children's club! Children could go when they choose. Was open to anyone who wanted to pop in. My daughter loved it, as she would pop in for an hour and we would be at the pool and she could come straight to us!

Mixed hotel- German Czech Russians and Brits, Brits being the minority! But this was no problem we all got on fine! Surprising how they all nearly spoke English:) met some great people.

Locally- you can take a left or a right out of this hotel and there are shops bars ect. Left would take you into stalis! Local bars shops! Locals was very friendly and certainly not pushy!! Right out of the hotel is more like a town and your water sports at star beach!!

I was surprised how many bars had there own pools, which is lovely, it was hot ans when we stopped for a drink the kids could have a dip:)

Loved the hotel was going to return this year but I started university and unfortunately I am restricted to what time I have!

A huge thank you to the manager Andreas mmwaah

Fabulous hotel I would highly reccomended and I have!!

Thanks

Room Tip: They do a family room sleeping six but don't advertise it as they only have one! Email the hotel...

Booked through Cosmos holidays, arrived at 1am, checked in promptly and shown to our room.
We were offered food and drink in the restaraunt but declined as we were so tired. The room itself
was very clean and a good size, there was extra bedding including pillows in the wardrobe and included in the room was Free air con (unusual for Greece) and a fridge & Tv also free.
In the morning we discovered we had a sea view , although we were later told we were lucky to
get this room as the hotel was completly full !!
The food is okay, the normal mass produced fare , not a huge choice but we never starved. you
pour your own drinks in the restaraunt and at the pool bar. There is a choice of soft drinks, red,
white, rose wine , beer or water. A big snag is the choice of spirits Ouzo, Raki, or Brandy free to
all,, which again you serve yourself.. BUT anything else is chargeable....Luckily I,m a Brandy man,
If you fancy a stroll into Stalis it,s a good 10 to 15 min walk to the edge of the resort. and in the
heat of the day can be a bit much on the way back as it,s partly uphill...
Overall not a bad hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms, food becomes hard work after a week,
but there are loads of places to eat in town and it,s nice to get out even on an all inclusive break!!!

Arriving late afternoon, hotel around 40 minutes from the airport depending on drop offs, , Reception and check in was very quick and easy, Explained the routine and shown to the rooms, staff are so laid back, its unbelievable, in a friendly way, The room we were in was in the block above the Snack bar. First impressions was a light airy large room, air conditioning free, Fridge ( empty ), no kettle for hot drinks, bathroom well maintained and clean, make sure you take a bath plug just in case!! Towels are changed 3 times a week, this includes your first night, no room service on a Sunday, No waistbands to wear, which is a good thing, All drinks that are A/I is help yourself, wine beers and soft drinks from the pull 2 spirits (ouzo, raki and brandy) from the bottle at the end of the counter, anything else you pay for. Bar staff keep the place clean and tidy collecting empties etc., so you know what you are getting A/I,
Snack bar good choice of sandwiches, sweets, nibbles etc. from 10:00am to 6:00pm, main restaurant most people sat outside, never no queuing or waiting for tables, again staff keep all tables cleaned quickly, you will soon fall into a routine tables are not set, so you collect your own cutlery napkins etc., drinks from the side, place on table and collect your food, good choice of all types don’t except dear cuts of meat, think rabbit etc., plenty to fill you but does repeat each meal, Used the microwave a lot just to warm up the food, enough said, There is a grill each night but the chef tends to overcook the meat, just ask for some off the griddle before he puts it on the serving trays, this served me well as I like all meats including chicken medium rare,
Breakfast it is possible to get full English, i.e. bacon, eggs, beans sausage etc., and again popped into the microwave topped with HP sauce, but there is a full choice of fruit, salads, sweets etc., not sure why chips were served with breakfast?
Entertainment is very low key to none, so take some board games, cards etc., consisted of quiz night international karaoke, poker night, and bingo all in the snack bar. This is the main area on a night time; there is Wi-Fi at 2 euros an hour or computers for 3 euros an hour.
Mini market is 100 yards to the right of the hotel and there is one next door in the Nana Beach hotel, plus an ATM cash machine.
2 pools both salt water, big pool mainly with families so there is noise through the day, plus pool games, no life attendant in place so be careful with small ones,
Going out its either to Stallis or Hersonissos 2.5 k either way used taxis which were around 8 euros or you could walk, beach area is very good but belongs to the Nana beach hotel who will charge you 15 euros a day for 2 sunbeds and umbrella, worth a walk around the nana beach hotel to see the different in price, and how the staff dress, think of a scene from the titanic, (naval uniforms all ranks)
Overall a great hotel for a chilled out relaxing break, plenty to eat and drink mixing with all nationalities ( English 10%), if you want action and hassle go next door, definitely on my list to go back at the price we paid.

Room Tip: ask for pool view next to snack bar.

This was the first time I have ever visited Greece. Staying here has made me want to visit even more. Such a fantastic hotel, not far from the beach. Lovely friendly staff, great food and brilliant entertainment. Clean and nicely decorated rooms with a private balcony. Maids were lovely! Walking distance down to Stalis. Shopping and Tavernas plus much more. Lovely food at some of the Tavernas too. Pleasantly quiet, 2 big pools to choose from.

I do recommend the hotel, you will not be disappointed. We had a friendly and helpful rep too!

Room Tip: Higher the better - Brilliant views.
