“Spotlessly clean hotel”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

On first impressions,a beautiful hotel.Spotlessly clean throughout, including rooms, pools, restaurants and all communal areas.Food was OK but very monotonus and it was never very hot-lots of chips, pasta etc. That said,I think it's probably quite representative of most Greek food. The entertainment was not too good. It was provided by the in house animation team who worked very hard, but I would have expected some professional outside acts in a complex this size. That said, the staff were lovely and very accomodating and you must try the massage chairs in reception! A lovely resort too with lots of bars but nice shops as well. I wouldn't be adverse to going back if the entertainment were better.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view on a high floor for wonderful views.

I recently visited the hotel for a family holiday with my partner, daughter, my brother and his patner. As were all in our 20's we wanted somewhere where my 3 year old daughter could have a good time and somewhere we could also enjoy i.e nightlife etc. this hotel and where it was situated were perfect!
Firstly the staff around the hotel were fantastic we were always greeted with a smile and offered assistance and info on anything we needed! The bar staff were superb and never questioned how many drinks u ordered etc
The animation team were brilliant aswell my daughter could not wait from the moment she woke up for the mini disco to start at 8. The entertainment in the day was good with plenty of activities and i really enjoyed all the shows they put pn at night, i just wish it went on abit later as it finished around 10.30!
The area around the hotel has plenty to do with star beech just down the round, try the bunjee it was immense! The nightlife in hersonissis is about a 20 mins walk or 5 min taxi we had a few good nights out down there! Stalis is 5 mins in a taxi the other way towards malia and has a few good bars and restaurents!
We also visited both water parks and a small reptile centre at the end of the strip, all we were very good days out and good value for money!
The food at the hotel isnt anything special yet did the job for us and the drinks were fine if a little watered down!
Overall if your after a relaxing holiday with a few good nights out and friendly helpful service at a very good price this is the place to visit.
Tips: hire a car we did it costs pennys and was well worth it.
Dont walk to malia its a good walk after a few tequilas!
Try a RAKI there lovely
Hope this has helped u all out

We have recently come back from our holiday in Crete and were really happy with this resort.

We arrived late at night from our airport transfer and were given priority check in because we had 2 young children. Our room was great, spacious with a low bed for our 2 year old son and a travel cot for our 11 month old daughter. A

The resort itself was massive with heaps of swimming pools with stunning views. We were mainly in the children's pool area, which was very clean, with lots of fountains and slides and only knee deep, so our son could wade around easily. The pool area is serviced by a bar serving drinks and snacks all day. Close at hand were also 2 brilliant play areas (one under a canopy for sun protection). There were even goats and donkeys kept in smart petting areas on the way out of the resort - great fun for my son!

The main restaurant was pretty good with a large selection of dishes and it was always possible to find 2 highchairs for the kids. The food wasn't amazing but is it ever at these All Inclusive places?

I imagine that if we had gone in the summer holidays then we might not have enjoyed the place so much, mainly because it is so massive and so it must get crazy busy in peak periods. But as to September it was perfect for us, with temperatures still in the low 30s and the resort quiet and relaxed.

The only down side for us was the local beach wasn't nice (small and busy with loud music and teenagers out on the pull!) and so on the days we wanted a beach day we went further afield. We also hired a car through the hotel, which was easy, fairly cheap (50 euros foe a long day) and had good quality car seats for the children.

Would definitely recommend for a September break - enjoy!

Room Tip: We had one off the upper road, which worked well for us as the door was to the outside rather than o...

From start to finish this was a brilliant holiday. We arrived very late at night on Thursday 13 September. We were driven by buggy to our room and found it to be unsuitable. There was no issue at all in changing and we ended up in the main hotel. It was spotlessly clean, the staff in general were friendly and helpful (remember it's the end of a tough season) and the location was superb. So, it was on a bit of a hill. It's Greece for goodness sake. Go to Spain if you was predictability! And the food...........well.........I vowed not to go over board this holiday but I just couldn't help it. The food was good quality and plentiful. There were no queues anywhere. The pools were spotlessly clean (a little cold and a little deep for me - but I am vertically challenged and it didn't stop me from going in). I honestly don't know why some people get on a plane and go all that way to complain about insignificant things. Oh, and George on reception? Star man. Very, very helpful. We don't go back to many places because there's so much of the world to explore but we'd definitely go back here. p.s. defo not suitable for disabled travellers. Enjoy, don't let the winers put you off! and if you're a winer - STAY AT HOME! BTW, the pedicure at Fingertips is superb.

Arrived Tuesday evening welcomed went out wed Morning for a walk fell down one of the many potholes in the pavement and spent the whole two weeks in plaster with a broken ankle, the onsite doctor was very good & the medical centre too,the rep was also very helpful ,but the hotel could not care less, also there is NO adult entertainment of an evening, great for kids ,but if you have none then its last, also the ALL INCLUSIVE is a joke you have to pay for sun bed covers, cocktails,if you want to upgrade its 13euro per night per person, some of the staff on reception can be very abrupt hotel was great but don,t think I will be going back again, Also Thomsons air port staff & crew were amazing a Big Thank you to them

Room Tip: get a room with a sea view otherwise you will be looking at trees all day and listening to quad bike...

Arrived at approx 1430hrs and was greeted and shown to our room. Room was nice, with a fab view of the sea. We were housed on the 2nd floor in the main hotel part, but far enough away from the bars/resturant, but still close enough. there are lifts to use to get you to every floor and sloops aswell as steps to get you round the complex. Room was nice and clean, bed a little hard, but expect that from all foreign hotels. Room was cleaned and fresh towels/bedding every day. Aircon in the room was a god send. Food was good enough, always something to find to eat. We only made breakfast on the one day as we had lie-ins everyday. but this one day there was plenty to chose from. We never went to lunch as we were happy with the toasties, pizza, chips and ice-cream from the snack bars. Dinner was nicely presented. Due to going out of peak season there was never a problem getting a table. Also as out of season there was loads of available sunbeds, around any of the 6 outdoor pools. Spent most of our time round the olympic pool as liked the size. Having that many pools meant none of them were crowded. Cushions for the sunbeds were only 1.50 euro each which i thought was reasonable. Self service drinks from the snack bars and one manned bar up at the imperial. Large complex but easy enough to find your way around.
All bars were great at night, the busiest bar was the one next to the entertainment stage, but it wasnt really our kind of thing. BEST bar was the Aeolos bar, Loukas and Nickos are fab barmen and they made sure every evening we were entertained, they made our holiday.

Star beach is at the most a 10min walk down the drive, its ok depending on what you want, there are more swimming pools down there, though we didn't use these. Here you can do all the water sports, which can be fun to watch.

If you turn left out of the drive there are a couple of bars which are nice, the one we liked the most was called No Name where we managed to get free WiFi so meant we could keep in touch with home for free. Further down this road is the start of town and the other end is the Aquarium which if you like snakes, fish and turtles is well worth a visit.

Turn right out of the drive and you'll find more beaches. keep walking for about 20 mins and you'll find the Romantica beach which was really nice and quiet and 2 sunbeds and umbrella was only 6Euro.

We didnt find out about the villages until our last day and were gutted, if you go out the top of the complex behind the church in the imperial, turn right and keep walking for about 10-15mins and youll come to the first of the 3 villages, So pretty and full of bars and restaurants. Apparently its great at night with street dancing. Would have gone there more often if we had known.

Room Tip: we were on second floor of the main hotel great sea view
